Re: 9th edition is on the way!

Guess I'm getting a box or two of plagubearers then. With the plague company rules, I can basically spend a CP to automatically summon 8PL worth of daemons risk-free, so... (This is how they get ya!) Granted I don't play 40K at the moment, but that sounds kind of broken. Summoning hordes of f...

That was fast. I had that thing for a year and never touched it. :D

Nice work. You really have mastered those contrast paints.

Re: What did you do today.

Low points/PL games are always going to be in that odd spot. If you want to play small games, why not just play Kill Team? If you've spent a lot of money buying the latest toys for your army, you'll probably want to get them all on the table at some point. (Personal game design / wargaming opinions...

Re: New Year's Resolutions - Ongoing Thread

So here we are at the half way mark for the year. Time to check in on the New Year's Resolutions and see if we are staying true to our words. 1. To better balance my time. Last year I started playing Magic the Gathering: Arena on my PC and that took up a LOT of my time. I want to keep playing it, bu...

Re: Games of Fantasy Battles - Comparisons and Opinions

Ok, time for a quick summary and recap. To remind you of abbreviations. DR - Dragon Rampant, SAoM - Saga, Age of Magic, OM - Oathmark, WoE - Warlords of Erehwon, KoW - Kings of War, SaS - Sword and Spear First of all, a point I think we can all agree on, Prim is far too critical about rules. Basing:...

Re: Mtg arena open beta

3 Sealed events in now, 4 temples added to my collection.
I went 5-0 on Saturday evening before the RNG decided that I'd had quite enough lands for the day and crashed me out at 5-3.

Re: Games of Fantasy Battles - Comparisons and Opinions

Just when you think you got out, they pull you back in. Sword and Spear I'll admit that I didn't know that there was a fantasy version of this game, and I don't have a copy of that version. I do have the historical version and I was able to download the fantasy army lists for comparison. So, what fo...

Re: Games of Fantasy Battles - Comparisons and Opinions

And to finish things up, the final game I have been looking at. Kings of War I'll be honest and say up front that I didn't have a good image of this game prior to looking at the rules. Mantic is a company that I am not overly fond of. They have positioned themselves in the market as being "GW, but c...
