Re: What did you do today.

The Eternals with the tabards are indeed pretty nice models, and those push-fit ones are especially cool-looking. I finished up the first of the Space Marine (Anti-)Heroes series 3 set, a plague flail-er who is apparently named Scabous. https://i.imgur.com/cg4S6gbl.jpg Being the eternal contrarian t...

Who knows, this could be WFB in 6mm for mass battles, just for ToD. :D
Some people on the facebooks were (I think) unironically going "well, Epic used square bases, hmmm?" and even I had to chuckle at that one.

Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!

"In two or three years, Forge World will support WHFB stuff" doesn't exactly fill my with the hype feels. Partly because how FW supports HH sporadically and somewhat randomly, partly because getting a 40-strong unit of empire halberdiers on square bases in resin from FW will be stupid expensive, but...

Re: Terrain Size vs. Model Size

Real talk, I'm actually thinking of it - I probably don't need both Marines and AdMech when it comes down to it, and storage space is getting tight.

@Konrad, sounds good! Yeah, Underworlds is the boardgamey hex-and-deck-building one. Multi-player games are a breeze so whenever you can squeeze in I should be able to accommodate. And yes, I'd still like the bag!

Maybe you need a soapbox bigger than 6mm? :)
There'd be nowhere to put it, you see.

Re: Shadespire

Hmm, I'm getting pretty hype for the wolf riders . It looks like, while there's a couple interesting twists, they'll be a pretty straightforward aggro warband, which it seems we haven't really seen in a while - since Magore's maybe? Plus the models are dope. https://i.imgur.com/5GE5zTzl.jpg Possibly...

Re: Terrain Size vs. Model Size

Basically agreeing with Prim here. In the "game design space," true line of sight is the debbil  and all terrain is to some degree or another an abstraction (ever seen a stepped hill in real life?) so I've never seen it as a huge deal if things are a bit out of scale or whatever. But really, i...

Re: How many people are still playing Mordheim?

Titanicus is certainly a skirmish game - the designers are on record as seeing it as such. I'd say it's my favorite too, but mostly because Underworlds (my favorite miniatures game), despite its low model count, is a lot more a boardgame than a skirmish game in the sense we usually mean it as wargam...
