Re: NagoyaHammer 2020 - May 9th - Planning the 40K Day.

I like the idea of buddying up before the games and planning lists together. That made for a very fun experience last time we did it, and also for more balanced games, as armies had less chance of being paired with something that just didnt work for them. And no, randomness does not equal fun... An...

&TOD- I'd be up for to try out Underworlds or Titanticus if you don't mind demo-ing. Underworlds the hexboard/card deck one right? I've got some stuff to do in the morning, and not sure when exactly I'll show up. Maybe pencil me in for the afternoon? Oh, and I'll bring that Deepcut bag if you still ...

(I also think that this is all a great argument for sticking to skirmish-size games in 28mm, platoon-scale games in 15mm, and anything larger in 6mm, but that's a whole nother soapbox that I know I stand on very much alone, heh.)
Maybe you need a soapbox bigger than 6mm? :)

Re: NagoyaHammer 2020 - May 9th - Planning the 40K Day.

I seem to remember back in the day of yore, we did a "Bring a 750 and and 1500 pt list" format, when there was a situation that you were the odd man out in the draw, you'd play your 1500 pt list. We''ve also done it where we picked our partners, built our lists in tandem and in seeeeeecrt, really ea...

Re: Terrain Size vs. Model Size

I have built some terrain where the "box" I put the terrain in is a piece of terrain. You can build ruined walls by cutting slots and tabs in a piece of foam-board. The walls just stack flat inside the "box". Not real pretty, and sometimes a pain to re-stack/pack the bits, but it does take up a lot ...

Re: How many people are still playing Mordheim?

That game you saw with me and Primarch, was the first Mordheim game we've had in years and years. We did have a regular campaign going, the odd half dozen warbands and fairly regular (for us) games. Mordheim is a pretty old ruleset and I think recently these Warcry/Underworlds games are filling the ...

Fun Rhino-y things, but they are just Rhinos with some stuff slapped on them.
I mean, to be fair, you've just described about 90% of the vehicles GW has produced, ever.
You know, you are hardly exaggerating there......

Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!

Also also! I just noticed the Exorcist gunner's gothic arch rangefinder helmet: https://i.imgur.com/dWLK5Rc.jpg (It kinda blends in with the sheer mass of gothic arches in the model as a whole.) As much as I like my 40K over the top/tongue in cheek, sometimes, I think someone has to tell the design...

Re: What did you do today.

Hi guys. Everyone has been very busy I see, from Mordheim warbands and cool terrain, 3D Printed Space Marine tanks, blue horrors and not so horrible cute little fiery Brimstones to old skool Griffons! :) That Griffon looks like the one Eltharion used to ride around on - though I doubt Konrad would ...
