Re: For the wood elfers...a podcast on tactica etc...

That's my current go-to site for information as I design my Wood Elf army.

Re: P3 paints

Where do you get Vallejo paints in Nagoya? (Do any of you use Mr. Hobby or Tamiya exclusively? That's mostly what I have on hand at the moment.) Vallejo paints can be bought at a shop in Kamimaezu. Directions can be found here: http://www.nagoyahammer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=867&p=12257&hili...

Re: Painting Faces

Even a Gundam marker might not be precise enough for the pupil of an eye. When I did my LOTR figures, I used a toothpick sharpened with an X-acto knife, with just the tiniest dab of paint on it.

I suppose a really fine ballpoint pen might work too. Tokyu Hands probably has pens as fine as 0.3 mm.

Good to know! I've been reading the game rules and Wood Elf codex, so I'll be making an army list over the next week or two.

What armies do you guys play here in/around Nagoya? What size of battles?

For my foray into Warhammer Fantasy, I've pretty much made up my mind to work on a Wood Elf army first (yeah, I know), followed by Dwarves.

Re: Thinking about playing…

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to check out those two shops. (I like buying stuff in person when I can.)

I saw on your gaming schedule you have regular events at Joshin. What kind of turnouts do you get there? Mostly gaijin, or Japanese players too?

Thinking about playing…

Hello guys, I'm a Japanese-English translator in Japan who used to collect and play some Mordheim and Lord of the Rings back in Canada. Having just discovered there is a Nagoya Warhammer scene, I'm thinking about getting into it. Leaning toward Fantasy at the moment, maybe building an army of dwarve...
