Re: The 2nd Annual Japan Open of Warmachine & Hordes!

I`m glad you had a good time. And, I`m happy you got some good mileage out of those tokens. The only problem we had was the typhoon. About half of the tourney participants decided to head back early and avoid the typhoon. The other half decided to wait it out in Fukuyama and play more WarmaHordes on...

Re: The 2nd Annual Japan Open

I just want to give another shout out to the Nagoya reps at the 2nd Annual Japan Open, Underdweller and Dungeon Lord. Thanks for coming down and playing in the tourney. I hope you guys had fun. Tourney Results: 1st: Aoichirou (Convergence of Cyriss) 4-0 2nd Keiichirou (Skorne) 3-1 3rd Daniel (Trollb...

Re: The 2nd Annual Japan Open

Dungeon Lord, sorry! I didn`t see this question until now. The timing for 50 point games is base 100 minutes with a 5-minute deviation (which Gannon rolled secretly before each battle). 1 = 85 minutes, 2 = 90 minutes, 3 = 95 minutes, 4 = 105 minutes, 5 = 110 minutes, 6 = 115 minutes. I know it`s ex ...

Re: The 2nd Annual Japan Open of Warmachine & Hordes!

The 2014 Japan Open is over and done! Everything went pretty well despite the coming of a Super Typhoon. I want to say thank you to all attendees and especially to Nagoya representatives, Underdweller and Dungeon Lord. I hope you guys had fun and we hope to see you again. Nothing is set in stone yet...

Re: The 2nd Annual Japan Open

Obviously, this hasn`t been confirmed, but it looks like every faction will be represented in the tourney...except Minions. So, you don`t have to skew your lists towards any particular faction - be prepared to fight anyone (another benefit to having a well-designed and balanced wargame). The only fa...

Re: Warmachine tourney practice

If you can just remember everything in your army and some of the more potent combos, that`s a great start! I`m still trying to get everything down for my two Warlocks! Several of the best players in Japan will be there (including last year`s champion, K.T.-san), but there are also some newer players...

Re: The 2nd Annual Japan Open

I got in some good games last Sunday. I have narrowed down my lists to two casters and their main components; I just have to do a little fiddling with a solo change here and there. This coming Sunday I`ll get 1-2 more practice games in and then...that`s it! No more practice until the tourney! All I ...

Re: The 2nd Annual Japan Open of Warmachine & Hordes!

The Japan Open 2 is shaping up to be a crazy, sexy, cool event. Gannon and I have been stocking up on new terrain and we will have some themed boards for you to enjoy. Good luck to all who are planning on entering and good luck with your final list preps and practices!

Re: The 2nd Annual Japan Open

Gannon and I have been slowly accumulating terrain - the good stuff - and are pleased to announce all of our tables will be themed for the tournament. It`s looking like the 8 main tables will be: 1. Protectorate of Menoth 2. Circle Orboros 3. Cygnar I 4. Khador 5. Trollbloods 6. Skorne 7. Cygnar II ...

Re: Warmachine tourney practice

Indeed, you may want to avoid army lists with too much infantry and, specifically, too much shooting infantry as a way to keep your turns under 10 minutes. But, the most important thing is practice. If you watch the world`s best players (Iron Gauntlet qualifiers, tourney and final), they will take a ...
