Re: Base size for Warboss on warbike?

I'll post a pic tomorrow perhaps, just for scale. On the base front, I saw that dragonforge.com do some nice ones of the right kind of size, i may pick one up depending on postage. They do a 60mm x 100mm (!) which would be just right. Or yeah, just make one...

Re: rethinking fantasy

Dwarves, great stuff! Baruck Khazad, Khazad ai-menui (translation: "gas lighters, get your gas lighters 3 for 1 pound"). I think I prefer those more traditional/classic fantasy factions. I can get on board with the idea of elves, dwarfs, knights, but not so much Lizards and rats and kinky elves etc....

Re: Da WAAAARGH Int. (ORK Talk)

I will tell him.. I think the next Kyoto event is 18th July, but don't know the venue. I will find out, I may well go myself actually. If it's Yellow Sub though, it may be a bit cramped  the Wings venue is much better, no problems there.

Oh - and I almost forgot. WAAAAAAGH.

Re: Base size for Warboss on warbike?

Cheers! Thanks for the advice, good to know its something I can field. I will look into the round base idea, but I think its 60mm(?) and that may be a wee bit small. Oh well. It's not big because I intended it to be, but those were the parts available. Wasn't keen on spending 38 quid on the FW mini....

Re: rethinking fantasy

In terms of what armies to play or keep, absolutely, definitely, go by background and play what you connect to and feel passionate about. You probably know which army that is already (and maybe own it). I wouldn't factor in competitiveness at all. At the end of the day I think the concept should be ...

Base size for Warboss on warbike?

Just wondering about size for a base. I've just converted a warbuggy I got for free as the basis of a ork warboss on warbike. I had a spare Black Reach warboss and slapped him on it, a gretchin/grot driving the thing. The result so far isn't that bad - it's ended up like a trike/wartrakk hybrid, look...

Re: Games Workshop Mystery Item

Ohhh :D .Exciting です。 My fingers are crossed for Warhammer Quest or Mordheim. 40k stuff is ok, but Fantasy tropes are what I prefer..Also either of these would buoy up interest in 8th. The 40k juggernaut doesn't need any help.

Re: Secrets of the Third Reich

Maybe people have come across these? These are the correct scale for 28mm - a WWII game called Bolt Action which Warlord games sell. http://shop.warlordgames.co.uk/tanks-345-c.asp A bit on the pricey side, but the range is growing all the time with German and Allied vehicles and lots of 28mm WWII mi...

Re: Chaos Dwarves, Araby, and Nippon, anyone?

They do look really cool! I wish they would re-launch Dogs of war, but its very unlikely. They seem to be great fun fluff wise, and some of the models are still available on the collectors segment of GW. But they aren't supported anymore and are being left to die a slow death. I think 8th edition wi...

Re: Island of Blood

Great idea. If we pick up one each, that's a rule book a piece and double the toys. Definitely keen to split 2 if you are!
