Re: 2,000 points WoC

I'm doing WoC at some point and have bought an army pretty much since the price rise was due.. I'll keep an eye on this. I'll just throw a few idle thoughts out. It's hard to decide on builds at the moment, or even how best to glue the models at this stage I'm finding. Before i knew the rumours abou...

Re: The Role Playing Games URL resource collection

I don't think there are any fellow cultists out there who are into the Call of Cthulhu rpg, but this site is wonderful and a real exemplar of what a gaming community can do. http://www.yog-sothoth.com Sorry if this comes over as a bit evangelical, but by god, I love this game and this site. Yog-soth...

Re: Space Hulk day June 5th Tsu

It was a good 'un, hopefully there will be another get together in a couple of months that wont clash so much. Ash'll probably get on here sometime and comment as well, but we doesn't get at the interweb so easily at the moment. @mij Well, sometimes I wished I *did* look like Lovejoy..who could resi...

Re: Space Hulk day June 5th Tsu

Seriously, this was one of the best days of (non-rpg) gaming I've had! Props to Ash for arranging it, turn out was low (4 of us), but we covered so many games with so much variety and had a blast. We all managed at least one or more games of :- Space Hulk, Geister, Guillotine, Drakon, Wings of War, ...

Re: 1 Army

I have to go by background appeal really, but I would probably plump for IG if I could start my current army again, all that Sharpe in space malarkey is very appealing. But Space Marines and Orks were in the starter...and it seemed like everyone and their dad had marines so I chose the latter. Haven...

Re: An interesting article about the next edition

The article is interesting, but pretty US centric. That BOLs writer seems to be asserting that WFB lives or dies in America. Well, it's had a robust following in Europe for long enough, and that isn't going to change as I see it. I don't have the figures, but isn't WFB more popular in Europe than 40...

Re: Recommend an Empire paint scheme?

Thanks for the comments everyone! I think regarding what units I want to field, there will certainly be lots of infantry (I'll have 100 state troops shortly to kick things off, and almost as many in other categories), but I I want to be able to field anything I choose really. I suppose this points t...

Recommend an Empire paint scheme?

Hello there, I wondered if I could sound people out regarding what they consider to be the most striking, memorable or down-right cool empire colour scheme? I'll be starting an Empire army for 8th edition, and already have the bulk of a 2000+ army on the sprues. I wondered what folk out there feel a...

Re: Welcome

Hello everybody My name is Rich. I'm based in Tsuruga, Fukui ken. I'm originally from Britain. I used to play a lot of RPG and a little warhammer/40k in my teenage years, during the early days of GW. I took a break for 18 years from gaming, but I'm back now. What I play: -RPG is my first love - Call...
