Re: It's Baaack!

If any of the rumoured new gangs include squat miners I'll get involved.

Re: What did you do today.

As usual, I haven't been doing much hobby stuff, but for different reasons than the customary ones of busy-ness/idleness. No, I've been in the UK for a couple of weeks, but will be returning soon. I've been touring the north of this rainy landmass, enjoying the cool British summer in Newcastle, Carl...

Re: January 14th - The Forgotten Games

A great idea! I will very likely attend, and might even prepare something to bring if there's interest (Lord of the Rings set piece battle anyone?).

*Edited because of prematurely sent message before which made no sense. Cofeve innit.

Re: Shachi Bowl II for Real- June 25 at Nagoya Seinen Shiluh

Spevna has convinced me to attend, and I have in turn convinced my wife to allow me to! The only snags are that I have only a vague nodding acquaintance with BB rules (think I was walked through a game of it once back in, ooh, '88 or something!), and I have nothing whatsoever related to the game. So...

I'm likely off to the UK in August. Might be able to pick up some small purchases for people too.
Will probably pick up a hard copy of SWA for myself at least, maaaaybe the 8th ed rule book and an index.

Re: chewing over naghammer 2017

I wanted to post earlier but you know, life and stuff. Although I could only drop in briefly, it was great to see everyone, watch (bits of) peoples games and have a bit of a natter. To be honest I was quite touched by the friendly greetings and camaradrie, despite my not being a regular fixture rece...

Re: NH17 - Day 2 Sign Up Thread

Just wanted to mention again that I'll be popping in briefly to buy the mats from Mr YS, and do a quick inspection of the parish and whatnot. Wish it could have been a fully fledged gaming day but down the line that will change.

I read that the new rules will be 12 odd pages downloadable as free PDF, as wil relevant army info (Warscrolls, let's face it). This is obviously quite good, isn't it? Eager to see what they've cooked up.

Re: In spirit. The 2017 hobby log (Ash)

I like this little vignette. This pair give me flashbacks to A Field in England (a movie I enjoyed, despite it not making much sense in the usual way movies are expected to).
I love the sundial. I want a sundial in my garden, I have decided. I need to make the aforementioned garden first.
