but you can't use Death Guard in place of <legion> !!

Ah, I see. it's in the DG list on page 57 (or, ahah, in the FAQ, in the case of the sorceror.) I'll let you away with it this time, GW, but I've got my eye on you

ps I'm already up to 3 books and their FAQs for this army (Index: Chaos, Codex: CSM, Codex: DG). I am soooo printing and laminating those datacards. Why GW don't sell sets of them (like big versions of PP's faction decks, say, B5 size) I dunno...

Yeah, while the decision to put only stuff they currently sell in the codex is nice for new players ("Why is there a palanquin in the codex when I can't buy one?") it does mean people with legacy models will have to rely on multiple books.

I've become a big fan of Battlescribe too! Not only is it a snazzy army list builder, but the rosters it prints out are very nice.

Those actually don't have unit datasheets - just stratagems, psychic powers, relics, unique mission objectives and such.

I've been very busy as per, and sadly clean forgot about the Bolt Action event. Apologies to Prim and co. It seemslike the numbers were there anyway, but a shame to miss it. Hopefully there'll be another time.

In my one day off after a 7 day stretch of work (school festival) I sorted out the warhammer fortress I picked up in Scotland. It was layered in dust and the previous owner had only gotten as far as assembling it. Gave it a good wipe down, spray of black undercoat and dry brushed it. Probably needs a second lighter dry brush shade of grey, but quite a decent result. She'll do. It was quite something to get an entire day to square a project away, and only possible because the kids were at pre-school and my wife working.

I've been working away on Kbear's valkyrie team. 5 down, 9 to go. Getting there, slowly but surely. I think I've found my groove now, though, so hopefully things will move faster now. Anyway: pics (these may change, as they have not yet been given the final OK by Kbear). Bases are also unfinished at this point.

Out of interest, these minis are on a scale with malifaux showgirls. Teeensy tiiiiny hands and heads. Challenging.

Nicely done! Those ladies look brilliant.

No painting on my part, but I did get some metal figures cleaned up yesterday. :D It's progress I guess.

I've been distracted by the process of blinging up a venerable dreadnought, leaving my bigmarines to languish a bit. It's Very Blingy Indeed though!

@MIJ- Nice, nice work there. Good sculpts. I can see how they would be a challenge.
A lot of the Vikings I'm working on are pretty lousy. No paint job can save them.
I am down to the last dozen or so. But I'm going to go back and do some freehand and maybe pretty-up some of the nicer sculpts.
I still need to find some thing to base them with that says "Normandy in the Spring".
