Darn it. Now you've gone and got that idea into my head.

Though I'm not sure I'd play a game of Insert Fantasy Game Here. It sounds quite painful and a little too Slaaneshi for my tastes.

You could always play Fantasy Game of Your Choice instead! I hear it's pretty good.

That does sound more like a game I would choose. :D

We had a nice shake in Osaka to wake us up yesterday morning. No casualties in my army, and we only lost one glass cup in the kitchen.

I'm still working very slowly on painting my troops, but there's nothing worth taking pictures of yet.

Glad to hear that you're ok and that your girls made it too.

You know Team TGG were out there gunning and torching and knifing the hordes of subterranean horrors swarming from the chasms the quake opened up.

And you know, I do need to make some "Fantasy Game of Choice" statues, the FGoC being Frostgrave. Most scenarios use a bit of special terrain and it would be nice to have a set of nice looking statues and pillars and little stone huts and things one of these days.

@Job - Nice work! I like the split colour scheme on the leg armour.

Last night I started applying basing material to my Zulus. I also assembled some US Airborne weapons teams. Sadly Warlord cast their airborne in a very soft metal with very slender barrels for their guns. I've had to replace a few rifles and an LMG barrel so far. :(

seems to be a lot of them robots in Nagoya these days. Good work, chaps :)

I have been keeping it rather more old school recently, with a somewhat experimental foray into the justified and ancient art of Making Fings out ov Wood. I've learned a lot, and have to keep reminding myself that it's my first time to do this kind of thing so a certain amount of cocking things up irreversibly is to be expected. My inner perfectionist/over-engineer is currently tied up and gagged somewhere in the back rooms of my subconsciousness.

Anyway, I've made the basic form of the box (which is for magic cards, btw) and wanted to ask all y'all for some advice. Which of the following methods of logo application looks better? The box will ultimately have both of these logos on it, left and right of centre, with the Lorwyn (leafy one) in gold and Morningtide (rising sun) in silver. The question is, airbrush onto bare wood, or carve out and outline? These are both rough versions on scrap wood, so the surfaces are rough as a badger's arse compared to the actual box, which has had seven shades of shit sanded out of it over the past few days. The carving is about as neat as I can make it, though. Dremels do not fine details lend themselves to.

Anyway, what say you? Airbrush or carve n paint?
