Brother-Sergeant Endi, Fireteam Aleph reporting:

Fireteam Aleph has successfully inserted into the warzone and established a base of operations in a bombed-out hab block; currently it is little more than a defensible room with a comms uplink, but it will do.

Fireteam Gimel was due for insertion immediately after us, but a sudden increase in orbital engagements meant they had to be dropped in one-man stealth "coffin" drop pods rather than as a single drop. All landed safely, but only Brother-Sergeant Aurthi and one other were able to make it to our ad hoc ops center on their own, and with none of their specialized gear - the rest, while linkups to our encrypted comms network have been made, are isolated by the intense fighting in the area. While it would be possible for each of them to make their way here through battle or stealth, Brother-Sergeant Aurthi and I agree that all would require unacceptable levels of either risk or time. Thus our first order of business is to retrieve the remaining operatives of the kill team safely, along with the gene-locked crates holding the Reivers' equipment.

For the Imperium. Endi out.

[The kill team selection rules gave me a bit of serendipitous built-in narrative, as I could only pick my first fire team and didn't have enough requisition points to add the second. So my first few missions will be collecting them!]
