Re: NagoyaHammer 2024 Retrospective
I agree narrative would be best for our group, but it is more difficult to pull off successfully and involves some careful game design if if you want mechanics that reflect that narrative. But could be a good goal for next year in 40k now that we've pulled off a more straightforward matched play sit...

Re: NagoyaHammer 2024 Retrospective
Thank you again for the hard work! Event organising is no joke, I did a gaming con back in my uni days where I had all the energy and time in the world and it was too much, can't imagine what it's like when you have a job, family, responsibilities etc. I do idly wonder if there's a service or someth...

Re: NH2024 is a GO!
@Jye how did the multiplayer combat patrol go? Good but my "this 500 points is probably a good Combat Patrol" to make up the fourth was a bit much, even denying myself any kind of detachment rules. I think we probably messed up some of the rules too, I'd like to give it a go having read them proper...

Re: NH2024 is a GO!
Thanks for a great time everyone, both rolling dice and excellent company.
Huge thanks to @Primarch for organising and the massive effort producing terrain.
Very proud of myself for only spending 33% of the "anything but 40k" day playing 40k.

It's tough for me to make an ongoing commitment but I'd love to give Lancer a try at some point

Re: What did you do today.
Glad you enjoyed it! 10th has been really good in pretty consistently delivering good games, there's been some issues (*cough* Aeldari) but I've played a ton of close games now and it usually only gets definitively away one way or another in round four or five ime. Really loving Tyranids too, seen a...

Re: What did you do today.
Inspired by @YellowStreak's deep red Sector Fronteris I slapped some Flesh Tearers Red on this bit of Kill Team scenery I've had forever.
Absolutely does not fit in the case with the rest of the stuff though so not coming to Nagoyahammer

Re: What did you do today.
Awesome work both of you, love that warband and that's a great Lelith. (I was listening to The Big Dakka today which is highly entertaining Orks vs Drukhari, the latter of which probably could have used Lelith's help) https://i.imgur.com/lPgoNhm.jpeg First of the extra terrain I'm hoping to pack in ...

Quick Ballistus in the hopes of troubling some of the vehicles at Nagoyahammer.
