good bye and thanks for all the fish

Well it finally happened. I had a total breakdown last night. Haven't slept at all after getting some nasty curveballs thrown at me. Laughing maniacally while crying with bouts of rage thrown it. Finally calmed down by taking a trip to the police box and working with the cops on some of the legal pr...

Re: Big News!

Given how many RPG games they have made and then stopped adding to the line when they felt they were finished actually makes me happy. 40k is a deep universe. Just stopping all of a sudden really makes me as a customer feel like they used me as a cow for milk.

(shadowrun) skype and forum based rpging

As my miniature gaming days fade away for the foreseeable future, work being less, and the joys of doctors and lawyers; I find myself with a dearth in hobbying. That isn't to say that I have lost hope in some form of gaming, but it will have to take on a different style. One thing I have found that ...

Re: and so it begins, the lawsuit

Japan is a consensus based system. One of the words I learned was dokusei. A legal word that implies contractual consensus. As my prior company used the word pay, which us native speakers would refer to as salary or wage, has a third meaning; monetary reward. So they violated dokusei from the word g...

Re: and so it begins, the lawsuit

I guess Japan doesn't have any 'no win, no fee' style lawyers, nor legal aid for those in a lower income bracket? What's the Japanese phrase for 'pro bono'? If your lawyer thinks you have a real case, they should be willing to work something out to suit your circumstances. Winning a case against a ...

and so it begins, the lawsuit

If any of you have been keeping up on my story and investigation, you'll no doubt know that I am not giving up after being severely mistreated by both the company and the school. I've spent the past six months investigating and trying to untie the Gordian knot. Everything I thought things were over,...

Re: NagoyaHammer Presents: Overlord

@ToD - I have you pencilled in for command of my Commandos. They aren't painted yet, that's my September painting allocation. Best hope that I am not as lazy as you. Cheers! And yeah, being as lazy as me is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, heh. That must make me beyond your worst ...

Re: here I go again. job hunting

So as I said last Thursday I had won a battle and got my contract voided and was trying to fix things. Well that company left one huge stinker for me. I went to the immigration bureau today in Yokkaichi to renew my visa. We hit a wonderful snag. The immigration people couldn't tell who my prior empl...

Re: What did you do today.

Took a trip down to Tsu today to visit the Labor Board. Figured I would have a nice battle royalle on my hands. Laid out the violations that my former employer had done and the guy was in shock at their audacity. In less than 10 minutes I had a victory. The contract in its entirety was illegal and I...

Re: What did you do today.

Let's see, this week I talked with a lawyer. Investigated Japanese fraud and tax fraud laws, as well as car ownership laws and other fun filled things that have nothing to do with the hobby. That sounds like an absolute joy of a day. I hope that something beneficial came of it and that you can sort...
