Have you seen Otherworld's stuff? https://otherworldminiatures.co.uk
Geared towards RPG. I love the character models. Great old school vibe. Not cheap, but very nice indeed.

Re: The bearer of bad tidings.
Sad to hear you are leaving. I know we only had the chance to talk a few times, but I definitely felt that we were in similar gaming wavelengths, and hoped to get more in with you down the line! Ah well. Battling those East Meg judges or FIW skirmishing with have to wait. Look after yourself, I hope...

Another major point of attraction for me- just discovered that this can be played solo! Obviously a considerable plus for a gamer with kids and fewer options to actually get out and game. Hmm...

This game isn’t getting any less appealing.

Re: Blackstone Fortress - Gorgeous Minis from GW.
I have been very interested in this since I heard the news on the community website. Not so much because of guard (which is fine) but certainly love the rogue trader, ranger, kroot merc, robot, squat, ratling etc. All wonderful stuff. It has to be a viable game to justify my buying and playing thoug...

Re: Bolt Action Blog - East of the Empire
I’ll be following this. Don’t know if you have read Quartered Safe Out Here, but I think it’d make fascinating reading for your project. It details the author’s personal experiences in this theatre during the war, and is a gripping and thoroughly recommended read. I really must read it again myself....

Re: Age of Sigmar?
I must say that the nurgle garden snail is a great (and very odd) mini, and the rest of the maggotkin stuff, so I can certainly see the appeal. I wouldn’t be able to do it any painting justice I feel, but you have the chops to pull it off.
Might do brayherd, but I’m not completely sure yet...

Re: Age of Sigmar?
As I've said in a PM to t'other Dave, I'm less antagonistic to AoS than I was, from the point of view of trying a new ruleset. I certainly have enough bits and bobs to play, and I fancy painting some stuff that has been languishing in the cupboard. I'm not adverse to giving it a whirl. I was genuine...

Really glad you still have the Wood Elves! Good memories of playing against and alongside them back in those 6th-8th gaming days in Kyoto and elsewhere. When a knight won his spurs etc.

Can I just say, sharks.really there haven't been any misses with AoS in quite a while. Like you, it's not enough to really make me consider playing the game or anything, but it sure does look nice.
