Re: October in Flames
LW seems to be the usual these days, although I hear from the "old timers" MW used to be the norm. Apparently, where BF puts its focus tends to drive player interest. Now with EW coming out, some of the attention may drift back to the Beginning. But if MW is something you want to play, LW-armies mos...

Re: October in Flames
Thanks guys. I actually have all the parts for the compulsory organization of a Schwere panzer regiment Bake, but what I need to start purchasing are the support elements, most particularly infantry support. @Mike: We played 1500-2k pts. Most commonly we would play 1750 pts as it was common in Salem...

Re: October in Flames
Unfortunately, unpainted, so they look like hairless cats unless one uses some imagination. And counting the points it jumps fast because they are, of course, Mark V and VI tanks. Four Panthers 750 plus two Tigers 430 making a total of 1180 points. The list I've planned out will in the future incorp...

Re: October in Flames
I would love to join you guys. My Americans are still back in the states (the liberty ship still isn't embarking), so I've only got some German big cats.

Re: When do you guys meet next?
Yeah, I`m in Japan, but I`m kind of busy. Also I`ve got to prioritize a number of things, including my girlfriend and her family above coming in. If I`m free or moving through Kamimaezu on that day, I`ll drop in. If I can come, (for the September date) I only have four Panther and two Tigers (my nex...

Re: A Beginners guide
Tamiya sells a lot of hobby tools and equipment including 2-part modelling putty (similar to green stuff). I'm sure you can find some modelling clay somewhere but I have no idea about pumice gel. There are a few (non-gaming) hobby stores around Nagoya, so if you're looking for materials that the ga...

Re: A Beginners guide
There is a store in Nagoya which rents out a room to us once a month. There are usually 4 gaming tables available. We split the bill between us (500 yen per person). There is a gaming store in Nagoya but they only really have space for card games. When we organise a bigger event we rent out a commu...

Re: A Beginners guide
Maybe here, too.
By the way, how do you guys organize for the gaming space in Nagoya? Do you split the cost of renting space? or is there a convenient gaming store?
Also, one other thing occurs to me, are you guys using the metric or inch system?

Re: Flames of War in Japan
Hey Mike, Thanks for the welcome. I've been busy recently, and in between I've been trying to garb games with my local group that I'm very involved with. Recently a bunch of us attended a tournament and I'm organizing one for our group that I will ironically miss. :( Once I fly in I'll be probably b...
