Re: What did you do today.

I finished up one half of my field ordnance battery. I'm very slowly getting close to finishing my combat patrol.

Re: July Games Day - 7/30 at e-able Nagoya

I should be there as usual, but looking to try out my Imperial Guard in 10th this time. I guess we should have a mission pack by then - probably we can more or less flexibly bring along 1000 or 2000 points and see how tables shake out? I'd be happy to try a 2000pt game with you if you're interested.

Re: What did you do today.

@Jye: nice, that's a great idea for objective markers! Why did you happen to have Ursula Creed though? I just finished up my Cadian Command Squad, which means I've finished the whole platoon just in time to make them one big unit in 10th. https://i.ibb.co/y0DRRh1/IMG-20230610-153609705.jpg Here are ...

Re: June Games Day - 6/18 at e-able Nagoya

So as it looks like we'll have 10th edition rules and indices (but probably not combat patrol rules?), what's the consensus? A whole bunch of 500 point games to collectively figure out the rules? A smaller number of 1000 point games to get a more-accurate feel for 10th As She Is Played? I sort of s...

Re: 40K 10th Ed. Discussion Thread

So they previewed a whole bunch of Daemon, Death Guard, Eldar and Imperial Guard datasheets on the official Twitch channel over the last couple of days through a couple of 10th ed games. Daemons are looking pretty solid, but Death Guard players are basically giving in to their inner Nurgle worshippe...

Re: 10th Ed Digital Release BEFORE Leviathan

That's honestly one of the things I'm most excited for in Combat Patrol - how the hell do they make *that* work? Against Custodes? Yeah, this is what I'm curious to see as well. The Guard combat patrol is like 300 and something points. How they balance that will be interesting to see. My gues...

Re: 10th Ed Digital Release BEFORE Leviathan

Well this is good news if true! This should be everything we need just in time for games day. If true we'll be able to play Matched Play on games day but not Combat Patrol, which is the exact opposite of ideal for learning  That's true, but I suppose there's nothing really stopping us from play...

Re: 40K 10th Ed. Discussion Thread

The Orks are looking solid. Waaagh! Is slightly nerfed since it only lasts one turn now (and you declare it at the start of the round rather than your command phase), but it's still really solid - army wide advance and charge is just amazing. Losing the charge reroll hurts, but gaining exploding 6s ...

It's definitely something I'll get into to eventually and the new Cities of Sigmar being released soon is a perfect excuse.

Re: 40K 10th Ed. Discussion Thread

Huh, World Eaters are the first preview I feel slightly disappointed by. The blood tithe was such a great mechanic and completely fit devotees of Khorne. Its very strange that they would scrap it. Every round being left up to random chance as you fish for doubles and triples sounds fun, but it feels...
