If people want to post questions about what they want to say in Japanese, I will do my best to translate as I now have a Japanese rule book courtesy or Prim.

I guess a very good starting point is:

Do you want to play 40k? How many points do you have with you?

Also...

Do you know about (insert army name here)?

Here are Japanese game terms for mission rules:
  • Reserve: Yobi-Senryoku (予備戦力)
    Outflank: Kishuh-Kohgeki (奇襲攻撃)
    Deep Strike: Juhshin-Kohgeki (縦深攻撃)
Deep Strike Mishap Table: Juhshin-Kogeki Shippai Chart (縦深攻撃失敗チャート)
    Night Fighting: Yasen (夜戦)
And for Missions and Deployment patterns:
  • Seize Ground: mokuhyo wo kakuho seyo (目標を確保せよ)
Capture and Control: teki shinzoh-bu wo tuke (敵心臓部を突け)
    Annihilation: gekimetsu meirei (撃滅命令)

    Pitched Battle: Shohmen Kessen (正面決戦)
Spearhead: Yari no hosaki tare (槍の穂先たれ)
Dawn of War: Senran no akebono (戦乱の曙)
As for missions and deployment, I bet Japanese players can know what you mean in English because GWJ writes English terms in kata-kana along with the Japanese terms.

I would say "Warhammer 40K wo asobimashou ka? Nan pointo wo motteimasu ka? Or... nan pointo ni shimashouka?

(army name) no rule te shitteimasu ka?
