Wow you guys actually finish painting all your stuff? That's amazing. I've ALWAYS had a mountain of unpainted stuff ever since I started the hobby.
Well finished would be a strong term but I paint to play and you can get to a point where the primed odds and ends don't have very high prospects of play.

I definitely hit that point recently but three cans of Wraithbone later my backlog is back to a comforting hill, if not an actual mountain.

I've got just the thing, but 2021 International Shipping (TM) has got it still stuck in Australia. Still, at the pace I paint I imagine I'll have it finished within a week or so of it arriving, so no need to delay on my account.

I'm happy with the normal schedule - like I said, I have something that qualifies in progress as we speak. So even if other plans don't line up for me to swing for the fences I'll be good, and I can justfiy the other stuff for the next theme somehow

Same here. Sprues need at least a decade to fully mature before you can paint them.

Note to self: Don't look directly at the backlog. My Tau backlog alone made me feel like 3 Tau players in a trench coat.

I feel like I need to go to rehab now. Either that or I need to find some sort of drug that'll get me out of procrastinating so much and then I can finally be like those fancy people on the internet with large painted armies all fully painted in a cohesive paint scheme...

Sounds to me like you just need to sit down and do some serious batch painting.

Voting is over for round 8 and the winner is Dave and his converted maggot-faced Helbrute with 24pts. 2nd is Jus at 17pts followed by Matt at 12pts. If you're curious you can see the detailed results here.

Hopefully everyone doesn't have too much trouble with the next round. I think I've finally picked something at least.

And for next month's theme:

Absolute unit

The usual rules apply and the deadline for round 9 is September 26th so go ahead and throw in one submission of anything you paint in that timespan that you think fits the theme. Here's an urban dictionary link for anyone who's a bit lost.

@ToD - Maybe the plan is for the tentacles to pick up enemy troops and then repeatedly stab them onto the bayonets?
