Huh. Not that they're bad models or anything, but I have a strong feeling that my wife would be a bit upset if i bought them...

Warlord have some special Xmas army deals up on their store for Bolt Action.
First up is an army of early war Polish. http://store.warlordgames.com/opposing-poles-6777-p.asp
Mid-late war Russians http://www.nagoyahammer.com/forum/posti ... =11&t=1074
and late war Brits are also available http://store.warlordgames.com/the-briti ... 5406-p.asp
Some nice choices there if you're interested in WW2 using the one, true scale of 28mm. As well as being discounted compared to making individual purchases, you can also get free shipping and knock off the VAT as well.
E.g. the Russian army deal of over 85 metal infantry and 2 field guns comes to 12500 yen at the current exchange rate. Thats the price of 1 GW Battleforce here in Japan. :D

I already have a german force and a small but growing russian army and I have to say, the models are aces.

What rule-set are you planning to use for them? Straight WW2? Weird World War? Will they be usable with Dust ?????? when it comes out?
Personally I would prefer some sort of alt. WW2. War walkers, demons, werewolves, etc.

I have a selection of rulesets to try/choose from.

Secrets of the Third Reich is very Wierd World War 2, but the rulebook is atrocious and I didnt think much of the game when I tried it.

Disposable Heroes was a nice little serious WW2 game that Frans recommended and was fun when I tried that.

I have a copy of Victory Decision which is again a serious WW2 game, but that could be easily adapted to WWW2 and I think the writer has said he plans to do it some time in the future.

Finally, Rick Priestley, Alessio Cavatore and the guys from Warlord Games are writing a ruleset along with Osprey Publishing for a WW2 game. It hasn't come out yet, but it has a nice pedigree to begin with.

I'm waiting on Dust Warfare, like most Fantasy Flight Games stuff it appears to have been delayed (they never meet publishing dates). Given the nature of the game I'm sure it is written for Dust minis only, but the basic infantry should be proxiable. The giant gorillas on the other hand.... :D
