Tide of Iron

Post by fox_in_japan » Wed Jun 16, 2010 2:41 pm

For anyone interested, TOI is a nice board/miniature game that doesn't take to long to play. If anyone is interested in playing, drop me a line.

Hi there Fox,
If you are coming along on the 27th to Joshin in Nagoya, bring it along. As I mentioned in the FOW thread there will be a couple of games going on. TOI will fit the mood perfectly if there is time to kill.
I remember that yo are quite the board game fan. Have you ever played "Shadows over Camelot". I played it once wit ha Japanese group and liked it so much that I went out and bought it for myself.
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike,

I'll bring a small scenario with me. The full game is a bit big and can take some time, unless you think there would be room for it. The game can accommodate up to four players, each side consisting of two teammates controlling their own divisions, but sharing certain resources.

It's basically a miniatures game, that utilizes boards and tiles rather than models for terrain features. The games comes with TONS of minis. The infantry ais nearly the right size for FOW, sadly thought, the tanks and transports are not :( . In any case, I'd be happy to bring some form of it along with me.

I've never had the chance to play Shadows, but I have played a few co-op games like Arkham Horror and Battlestar Galactica.
