Kuwana/Yokkaichi gaming Feb 2
Re: Kuwana gaming Feb 2
@Prim: Well, I won't be bailing. Actually, all the SH/ASC games are two player, right? I believe Dave only needs one victim at a time for his game.
We could also just enjoy One on one games of BP. We could rotate in rounds. Of course I hate to give up the chance for multiplayer BP which is so excellent. (Granted we still need the green light from DL for using several of his tables.)

Ok, I should be able to make it along for some Red on Blue action. I don't mind one on one, but it would be better if we can all play one big game. Of course, a lot depends on the number of tables available.
@DL - Do you think we will be able to use about 5-6 tables mate?
I can bring enough terrain along if someone else can bring some mats?

I actually have 2 of the gw mats, I can bring them both. How about roads, trees, rivers? I will bring what I can comfortably carry.

I'll bring a Battlemat, some fields, hills, road and an orchard.

Ok, then I guess I don't need to bring as much terrain then. I will bring some hedges, fences and other linear obstacles.

I can come in the morning - but is anyone actually playing Space Hulky type games (or other board games, Warmachine?) - or is it only Black Powder?

I've gotta run. But I just wanted to update this. I couldn't get the a room in Kuwana. So I will be getting one at Naya Plaza in Yokkaichi (near Yokkaichi JR station). I will post directions to and answer table question tomorrow.

Re: Kuwana gaming Feb 2
Ok. So, I dropped by the February (and possible March) venue on the way home today. The room is booked and we are good to go. The important stuff is below:
[*] There are 10 tables available in the room and assuming other rooms are not totally booked, we can get more. So I think you guys will be ok for tables if you want them.
[*] The room rent is more expensive than normal so I have to increase the room fee to 300yen this time. When we go back to the Kuwana venue, I will drop it back down to 200 yen.
@ Job - I will be playing board/card games. So I doubt I will be up for PB. Sorry.
@ Underdweller - There will be other games other than PB. So don't worry.
The new place is Naya Plaza, 3rd floor room 5. The address to google is 4−17 Kuramachi Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture 510-0045, Japan I found the best way to google it is by copy and pasting. You will probably see a number of options and you can either press the search button a second time and it will clear the unneeded ones out or just compare the address. PM me and I will give you my phone number.
I have updated the originally post too.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

@ Dungeon Lord: Thanks!
@ Badruck: I think most of the guys and gals are talking about playing it. I am looking forward to it after BP. (I think ToD is brining ASC and Ashmie said he was brining SH)
@ BP-players: I was thinking about a mission.
How about we play with Brigade Ld as 7? This seems to be standard for what is in the AT books and also it seems to balance infantry and calvary a bit. Anyway, I think it is time to put on our big kids pants and graduate from general Ld 8.
Also I was going to suggest Ld 9 for Allied/French commander in chief. Additionally, if you guys want, we could allow special characters like Wellington, Blucher or Messena. It might add some color.
As for a mission, this is an idea I have.
Battlefield: Roads stretch from each corner towards the middle of the board where there is an intersection. On one side of the middle line is a ridge line dominating the crossroads. On the other side a farm, one building with orchard and surrounding fields.
Mission: Both are attempting to seize the crossroads before night falls. In failing to capture it, they should attempt to contest it and dominate the surrounding positions. The main objective is the crossroads, worth 3 VPs. The farm and ridge are worth 1 VP each.
Mission rules:
• Each player gets a table corner.
• Calvary with the "Marauder" rule may begin on the table. They represent scouts out ahead of the columns. Every other unit is in reserve marching to the field.
• Order of March: Each player will write down a Order of March for their brigades. Each brigade will march onto the field from their corner. If a brigade fails a roll, the rest of a player's brigades are delayed. (Ex.: Brigade 1 succeeds its command roll and marches on the table. Then Brigade 2 fails its command roll and doesn't appear. Brigade 3 and 4 can not arrive on the table until 2 successfully rolls a command order.
Game ends when either we reach a satisfactory turn count 6/7/8? or time runs out (I was thinking 2 1/2 hours.)
What do you guys think?
