I hope to be there, too, this month.

I don't have the rule book for 7th yet, but I'll bring some 40k to have a first go at it if any one is keen.

Also thinking of going, but not sure what to play. Open to suggestions if anyone needs someone to play against.
In theory I could play 40k with unpainted plastic, Bolt Action or even Dredd. Reciprocal games too.

If you give me a list I'll see about what I can provide. I'll also bring an assortment of houses hills roads walls and fields. I have orchard too but no trees. Do you think we could use your trees?
Trees are no problem!

Howzabout I leave the FoW list to you - I have an armored rifle platoon and a platoon of 3 Shermans, so you can just add to that stuff from your collection to make something viable.

For BZC, it'll probably be easiest if you list up roughly what you'd want in FoW terms and I'll work from there. To give you an idea of size, the 2000-point list I've worked up for the US uses just the models I have - about 750 points in FoW?
750 point games are good, but could I recommend a 1250 point game? At 750 American Armored rifle and tank lists are tough to squeeze in without being really fragile. Anyway, I think it won't be too difficult to manage the game in two hours.

I'll try my best to review the Blitzkrieg Commander rules with online videos.

Whoops, I meant:

- I own 750 points for FoW in my AR platoon and shermans - I'll need to borrow from you some American junk (which I'll leave up to you) so we can play a 1250-point FoW game.

- That 750 points for FoW gives about 2000 points in BKC, so if you shoot me a 750 points-ish FoW German list I'll work it up in BKC for you so we can play a 2000-point BKC game.

As for the rules, it'll be my first game too, but you can probably think of it as a significantly-more-crunchy Black Powder for the basic gist. Both games grew out of Warmaster and have that same core of issuing orders as a central mechanic.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Wow, looks like a lot of people this month!

Asch, do you want to play our final Fantasy battle this month? I can be there all day, so anytime is OK.

Otherwise, I guess I will bring 40K since that is what most people seem to be bringing, and I havent tried out 7th edition yet.

I'll have you know that "junk" is fine Detriot steel and good honest American labor. :D

BTW, interesting what you write about Blitz Commander. I was watching a video on the game last night and what you say really fits what I was hearing.

As for FOW...

I've already written a list for you. It is tank list out of the Blood and Guts book.

1500 points. Confident Trained
HQ
1 M4A3
1 M32 TRV

1st Platoon
2 M4A3
2 M4A3 (76mm)

2nd platoon
4 M4A3

Armored Rifle Platoon
Full sections

Corps Tank Destroyer Platoon
1 Command Jeep, 2 M10s, 4 M10 Wolverines (late)

Calvary Recon Platoon
1 Calvary Recon Patrol (1 M7 Greyhound, 1 Recon Jeep, 1 Mortar Jeep)

Field Artillery Battery
4 tubes 105mm

AOP

* I write this so you can review any pertinent rules and get an idea what you might be using. You might want to review the rules on tank destroyers and AOPs, but I'm happy to explain as we play or look them up later too.
* Also, your tanks will benefit from the Detriot's Finest rule which allows you to move 14". (Calling that "junk" now? :D ) In addition your 76mm tanks and the Wolverines have Anti-tank 13.

I'll be fielding a 17th SS panzer-grenadier company out of Nuts. It is an infantry company, so expect to attack if the mission is a defensive one. Also I'll be fielding a 1250 point list. I figure this might compensate some for the fact my experience with FoW and also generally I think this will probably look appropriate for late 1944.

17th SS-panzer-grenadier list. 1250 points. Fearless Trained.

HQ
CiC, 2iC

1st Platoon
3 sections

2nd Platoon
3 sections

Heavy Platoon
2 Machine Gun sections
1 Mortar section (81mm)

Panzer Grenadier Anti-tank Platoon
3 Pak40s

Panzergrendier Panzer Platoon
3 Stug IV

Armored Car Platoon
1 Sdkfz 223 radio [proxy with additional 222], 2 Sdkfz 222

Volks Rocket Launcher Battery [Reluctant Trained]
3 21 cm Rocket Launchers

• Note: All my infantry stands are armed with Panzerfausts, so it might be advisable not to assault them with armor.
