Re: July 31 at Kariya cultural center
@TOD and Underdweller: How about the three of us muddle through a game of 'War Pike' in the morning, then you'll be free to play Warhammer Quest in the afternoon? Underdweller, would you like to help me command my beasts or would you like to try out your Lizzie's?
@Everyone else: who else wants to try 'Warpike', my 'Hail Caesar'+'WFB' mashup?

Did this date change? I was under the impression it was on the 24th of July, or am I just imaging things?

Looks like it has always been the 31st. If you change the title of the thread, the titles of any replies posted prior to that change are not updated.Mike the Pike wrote:Did this date change? I was under the impression it was on the 24th of July, or am I just imaging things?

Sounds good to me. Since you already have rules for beasts, I am find being your second in command.Mike the Pike wrote:@TOD and Underdweller: How about the three of us muddle through a game of 'War Pike' in the morning, then you'll be free to play Warhammer Quest in the afternoon? The July schedule isn't changed. July 31th is our July gaming opportunity at Kariya.

@Underdweller, TOD and everyone else: Unfortunately I won't be able to make it on the 31st. We are off on holiday the next day so I guess I should probably spend my time getting ready.
I will try my best to make the August gaming Day (I don't see any problems as yet) so if you are still keen to try out War Pike/Hail Mike, then let's try it then.

@MtP: Okay, have a nice holiday!
So, the schedule so far looks something like this:
Komura and other two Japanese guys: Boltaction.
Another guy: Frostgrave and Deadzone
Washoi Star Wars: X-Wing
Hopeful Monster: TNT
Auxryn: Warhammer Quest (and/or Dropzone Commander, 40k, or Strange Aeons)
Underdweller: Warhammer Quest (and/or Warmachine/Malifaux)
TOD: Warhammer Quest
So, looks like Warhammer Quest is on anyway. How about in the morning?
I think we could have one more player for that.
In the afternoon, I would be OK playing 40K, but I would prefer to play some sort of fan supported skirmish based game, like the Kill Teams or FUBAR or something similar. I have not tried them, just would prefer to use something other than the 40K ruleset.
Frostgrave, TNT, or Strange Aeons might be interesting, but I don't know the rules at all. Hopefully we can get some games going!

That leaves me free in the afternoon - I could bring my Dropzone stuff, or if someone wants to play Advanced Space Crusade that would be cool too.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Re: July 31 at Kariya cultural center
Warhammer Quest in the morning it is.
I am eager to try my Dropzone Shaltari again after getting rolled up by my own UCM army at Nagoyahammer. I maintain that this was merely a fluke of the dice and not that I am terrible at building armies or playing the game.
Strange Aeons is a light game to bring along anyway (low model counts, just one rulebook), so I am likely to bring it regardless. The nice thing about it is every round is balanced and you are never overmatched by a more experienced mob.

It probably helps that your UCM army is beastly.Auxryn wrote:I am eager to try my Dropzone Shaltari again after getting rolled up by my own UCM army at Nagoyahammer. I maintain that this was merely a fluke of the dice and not that I am terrible at building armies or playing the game.
