Feb 11, 2011 Game Day Ogaki
Re: Feb 11, 2011 Game Day Ogaki
Could I meet you fine gents at the great gold clock at 7:45 too?
Also, they say it might snow tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't because it might screw up the trains... and we have war to make.

Yes, thanks Badruck, It was a lot of fun! I was considering not going as I got almost no sleep last night, but am glad I did. I think I was relatively coherent. It was really nice of you to provide lunch too, especially a vegetarian option.

Yes, it was quite fun today. Even Pikey got to enjoy some of it after suffering two defeats at mine and Robs hands, he got to watch Rob go down in flames against his wife.
For me, my Kahayans were able to come out of their boxes and several new units got to spread xenos blood (well my manticore only spilled blood of my own men
) all over the field of battle. Of particular note was my punisher tank (hereby dubbed Pain Killer) which single handedly downed two eldar jet bike squads and Padre Steifmann, who with his eviscerator, sent the farseer screaming to the infernal reaches.

My thanks goes to Rob too. A very generous host!
I even got my first 40K game under my belt, even though I lost a tactical squad to those frog like Tau..."SPACE MARINE!" got their own back my melting a Tau tank to make a lovely soup
Thanks to Jus my opponent for two great games of WFB, Wood for the War Effort Part 1 and part 2. Although the High Elves took a slight advantage over their wilder cousins in the second game they soon discovered that the wood really wasn't worth the effort...better to go and take it as homage from those silly superstitious Kinigits...otherwise known as the Brettonians!
Look forward to the next one guys!
To Prim:
The Wood Elves gained a point in the first game.
The High Elves gained a point in the second game.
Cheers

Re: Feb 11, 2011 Game Day Ogaki
the Campaign was really designed to make a normal game of 40k simple and easy... my 2 friends that had never played showed up and got in two games off in about 2 hours time. they really enjoyed it and that was the key ... big thanks to Seb and Frans for teaching my friends how to play... John said he had a great time got trashed by Frans and then in the second game plasma gunned right off the tabel..Masa had fun crushing Jus and then pulling a draw with seb... it was a very good day of gaming...
