@job: kids are great it takes time and energy not too much money really but when Kenya move her gene stealers on the side of the board and moves a generous 6 inches then uses flee of foot to get them past a bit of terrain an assaults my devil fish wrecks it well I have never been prouder of her.

As for the place. What is wrong with a Saturday get together I am willing to make a trip down to Nagoya if anyone can get away from there wife for a morning. Just tell her your going for a jog.

OK I'll definitely visit. Green tablecloth. Tamiya store, Nitori or a DIY store is probably best.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Probably, but 'Cheap' and 'Tokyu Hands' dont really go together. Which is a shame because TH has a LOT of cool modelling stuff.

Thrift stores sometimes have used sheets green sheets are rare but there could be some stains on them that would be cheap.

Ok guys, I'm getting very excited by your positive response... let's do a TEST EVENING then. Can we join this Friday or Saturday Evening. For this first game, has we haven't got many tables yet, it will be open to MAX 8 people... no big games this time (so no wargames, although small skirmishes could be ok, and no HUGE boards). You decide the games... I could take with me Battleteh, primordial soup, fearsome floors, carcassonne, once upon a time... one shots for RPGs would be also great.

On a side note: please tell me if you get to know somewhere to get cheap tables, folding chairs and saw horses...

This Friday is a little bit of a short notice for me, and Saturdays I work till 8:30 with work the next day. Next Friday would be better, but I unfortunately scheduled work on that day till 8:00 pm.

Generally Friday would be better for me, and I'd be up for Carcassonne.

The cheapest way I could think of to make tables for a recent tournament was to use sawhorse brackets, with mdf boards on top. Total in materials came to 5200 yen per table, with about an hour+ to make each, and they store away reasonably small.

I took photos as I was making them:
