I didn't bring my Mordheim stuff. Did not get time to pack it up. I did bring Space Hulk.
I'll be there 5-5:30. If doors close at 8, oh well, time for one game of something and then out for a bite to eat and a pint I figure.

I'll try to be there about 6-6:30, depending on what time I get out of work. If I'm lucky, it'll be earlier.

Someone wanted to play Ticket to Ride; are they still coming? I can also bring Elder Sign, but I doubt there's enough time for that. I'll be bringing Murderous Ghosts and a few other cool card games. I'll going to try and join Konrad on his pint!

@ Ennui: Maybe we can play Ticket to Ride next time. I loved that game when I played before. :)
@ Grim Ironjaw: Thanks for the games of Magic. It was a lot of fun. :)
@ Everyone: Great to see you all!
@ Mondo Books and Khrone: Awesome place! :!:

I want to just say that the place is great. It is an incredibly comfortable and relaxing space. With two couches, several love seats and lots of space, I think it would be a great place to have card and board games on evenings. It could easily manage skirmish level games like Mordheim, Cutlass or Blood bowl and with some tables larger tabletop games. And the rounds of coffee and books galore had me sold. :D The late night gaming really took me back to late nights and warm memories of game nights at the old hobby store. :D

I just hope this sticks to a more fixed date. A fixed schedule helps with planning for things for me and I think would help gravitate people to a weekly/bimonthly/monthly 'game night'. I hope it works out for Friday evenings, because it is currently my day off and I could come down at least twice a month I think. Otherwise, 'thanks' to Khorne for arranging this.

So glad I was able to go.
Even with Job steamrolling me in Magic game after game, I had a ton of fun.

Cheers Khorne for organizing. This should definitely be a regular thing.

Yeah, a nice game of Ticket to Ride with a bunch of players would be pretty fun.

I agree, it's a pretty nice place. I hope that the game night becomes a regular event, too! Looking forward to the next event.

Grim Ironjaw: I think I'll be taking you up on your Magic gaming sometime soon! I think I'm free the weekend of the 20th...

My goal is to have a full game of Dune the board game some day. Awesome game, very difficult to find players.

Let me add my thanks to our gracious host of last night's game night. Lovely spot, very cozy. It just feels right to play games while surrounded by old books. Don't worry about the tables. Just perfect for a board game.
I will try and make it out once a month or so. Certainly be by soon to trade some books.
And a quick question. What was the radio station you guys had on in the background? I forget the name.

Sounds fricken great, I'll try to make the next one. Anyone for Blood Bowl. Or Dune the boardgame sounds fantastic.

Update: Yikes, too many gaming events this month and I must paint my Prussians for Joshin at the end of the month so hopefully see you guys there in December or January.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

this was a blast too bad more people did not stay out latter but I guess there is the whole I have to work in the morning thing... that said I went to work at 9:30 the next day... I stated out all night and when back to Ogaki in the morning.... was a heap or fun I only wish the trains left earlier something like 4:45 would be best... although I suppose I could always just hop in capsule hotel next time...
