Regular (and irregular) events in the Nagoya area can be posted up here. If you want to get your gaming fix, this is the place to look first.

Sorry for the sour tone. It is just that D-lords event was rather under represented by the Nagoya guys. And to be honest it was on a Sunday it is normally cheaper and is only like 15 minute train ride from Nagoya, it has free parking, It is close to Tsu even closer to yokkaich and it has nearly as much gaming space as the joshing place plus and most importantly it's ran by someone on the forum.

D-lord has been to most the events in Nagoya and Tsu for the last few years. And has even made it to the Gifu events from time to time. He always fields a painted army and he is never a bad sport. If you can only game once a month make sure you go to his events.

Just saying. We should support the guys that support Nagoyahamer.

@The Madmiral: Thanks for the rather unwarranted thread hi-jack/swipe at the 'Nagoya' guys. It really helps breed a great atmosphere within the community :( . Looking at the list of Joshin attendees, I've seen quite a few of them at events at Ogaki in the past as well as other places. On top of that, not everyone can play more than once a month, you know?

That said, I had better add that DL's events out at Kuwana are always good fun with folks from all over. Despite being in Mie, and technically Kansai(!) it is actually closer to Nagoya than anywhere else, only a short car ride, train trip away.

On topic: Of those attending, who is playing what? I am bringing 40K to play Underdweller and perhaps Malifaux/Cutlass. Also, terrain might be a bit sparse, so if you can, please bring a few small pieces.

@Underdweller: Would you prefer a morning or afternoon game?

@Everyone else: Any other takers for 40K?

@ Badruck: I have to agree with Mike. You can't lump all he Nagoya residents together and you should probably consider our personal situations.
I've been trying to make it Kuwana, personally speaking. But as I've posted many times. I need a two month advance on the date. The March event was posted well after I had scheduled this month. On the other hand, I know what do Joshin day is. Lastly travel is much easier and I can work it into my day.

And as a plug for DL: his events are great. He's got a great room with lots of space. Great fellow and the air in Kuwana is nice too. :)

@ warhammer fellows: I'm game for the morning but not the afternoon. I'm sorry Jus can't make it this time.

@ Konrad: hey man do you want to take a swing at some Dwarf rangers in the afternoon. I might be heading out of Joshin 4 or 5 but before Id love to go wyrdstone hunting.

Nothing but love for the Nagoya crew just wish they would consider the Kwana alternative.

Hey Admiral, don't sweat it. We all try and make what we can when we can. I already said to you and Phil I couldn't make last weekend as I have just done the Tsu rpg festival at the beginning of March.

We shouldn't make people feel obliged to join things. I understand where you are coming from. It's hit and miss with organising events it really is. I've put on Tsu events these past two years almost every month and sometimes 5 people join sometimes 15. You just have to put the event on and then it's up to others who turns up and who can't. That's their business. At least you can be guaranteed at least one opponent. :)
Tsu is down to just two events a year now. Halloween and March RPG. Hope this helps.

I will be gaming next month either at Fort Spevna or Kuwana. Looking forward to it. The Joshin group is a great gaming group so we can't deny that's beautiful right there. Often 5 games running at the same time. I'm sure if you organised a game of something on the forum before and then went even for just half a day to Joshin it would be worth while.

Remember rule number one of rpg and gaming: Don't split the party ;)

Oh and rule number 2? When Big Daddy Prim is away don't start a geek war. :)

Keep it sweet folks keep it sweet. ;) Roll well.

Respectfully I mean geek wars with dice and cards, and not the type thrown at your gaming mate. :D

I will bring some terrain for a table.

Would anyone like a game of fantasy in the morning? I have played Job already this month and I think we would both like to sink our teeth into another opponent.

I wouldn't mind a game of 40k or Cutlass/Maifaux in the afternoon.

On a side note, the one event in Kuwana I have been too was great :D ! But I still think my idea for one month here and one month there might be a winner? Like a Lodge system ;)

@Koji: Nice idea, except it makes things a bit hard on out of towners, especially those taking trains/public transport. IMHO Most of us don't mind traveling <=1 hour but add an extra half hour or so plus farting round at a transfer station etc etc just makes it that much harder/troublesome. The Joshin situation isn't ideal but at the mo' it's the best we have, until someone finds the perfect location (i.e. large enough, reasonably priced, centrally located, good transport links, open when we need it etc).

I think the consensus last time we had this discussion was to keep Joshin as it is for now but to complement it with other events in other venues as well as 'private' games. The key with the former though is to give plenty of notice, and co-ordinate things if possible. Most of us can do one game event a month, quite a few of us can do two, not many of us can do 3 or more.

Anyways....

ON-TOPIC

@Koji: Do you want another go at 40K in the arvo' after your Fantasy game. I have a few scores to settle with your Desert dwelling Imperial puppets.
