In the interests of time we can play a smaller point value. Maybe 750 or 800? I was thinking it'd be funny try these rules:http://www.warlordgames.com/rules-geron ... lt-action/

Had a quick look at those, they look to be fun rules actually. I'd really like to get this game in as well as the other 2. I'll try to bring a little terrain myself, just to make sure a quaint English village can be created.
Must drag out that unpainted post box model I have lying around somewhere... and 750-800 points might indeed be a better size.
Looking forward to working on tidying the Home Guard models up and finishing those dirty beasts for tail end of June.

I'm still in the market for an afternoon game of warmachine or 40k.

Any takers?

I'd be interested in a 40k game. Do you want to see if we can round up a few people for a team game? If you want a one on one game, I'd be happy with that too.

Might be easier to just do one on one. Depends - if other folks are dead keen I'm not about to shut em out. All things being equal, though, one on one is probly a simpler proposition :)

Edit: that said, if you'd prefer to team up with someone id be more than happy to play against a tag team. I'm just kinda keen to use as many shinies as I can, yknow? :)

Sure thing. No problemo. What points level were you aiming at bringing?

For reasons of shiny-toy-itis, maybe 1850 or so? Even 2k would be doable, as long as nobody brings anything daft like a green tide. I'm kinda thinking a monster/tank heavy list, or maybe plenty of elites. Basically, I'm looking at high-ish points cos I want to bring a sensible amount of fancy stuff, not because I plan on flooding the table with minis and taking all bloody day to move my army.

If you prefer a lower points game that's fine - I appreciate that we all have different gaming preferences. Tbh I'm just happy to get a game in :) The 1850/2000 pts thing is a preference, not a requirement :)

I'm okay with anything. I'll be playing with ToD in the morning. I figure to be able to game with you between 1:30/2 and 5:30. If we keep a nice clip we can finish a biggerish game of 40k.
How about:
-1850 points
- single CAD + detachments
- Super-Heavies?

Also, at a higher points level I'll bring my Chaos. Which army are you bringing? I ask for the sake of keeping all things open and also if you want to create some kind of narrative or theme to the game?

If an Imperial player joins us, I'll bring my Dark Angel successor chapter.

aplogies to Job for taking ages to reply.

1850 - goodly good
1 CAD + Detachments - um, OK, I think? I'm still wooly on the CAD/Det rules. Can I still take allies if I do this? Not even sure I want to, but just as an option, like...
No super heavies - double OK on this. No silly buggers, either :) Unless you're desperate to bring a super heavy, but if you do I'd like a heads-up beforehand so I can pack my bear-gun :)

re. what army I'm bringing: Proooobably dark eldar, but maybe corsairs. Possibly Craftys. I'm not trying to be evasive here, I'm genuinely dithering. I'll probly decide in the next few days. Not my nurgle, anyway. That's a certainty.
