I'd really like to get some games of Warmachine and Malifaux in and sadly M_i_J is the only fella in your neck of the woods who plays either of those games.
What time have we got the room till?
Prim has a point, there. Im keen to play Warmachine and Mali, but noone in tsu plays either of them. I find them both good for simple pick-up games, as they are far, far easier to carry than 40k. You can fit multiple army variations for both games in one small rucksack (e.g. my wee purple and green one). I cant even fit my eldar infantry in there, never mind the vehicles. Go Warmachine!

ps.

Big thanks to Ash for organising this day. Thanks also to Prim for kicking my ass up and down the table at 40k. As I found with my eldar against Badrucks orks some time ago, being all darty and maneuverable aint worth jack squat if your opponent has pretty much covered the entire table surface in nasty point toofed deth.
That, coupled with my list being tailored to kill marines (dats wot you get for playing the odds) and the fact that I dropped the ball tactically on more than one occasion, meant that my poor wee pointy ears got well and truly et.
Oh well, learning experience, and all that.

Warmachine against Prim's Khador was a bit closer, but me warcaster still ended up getting her 'ead chopped orf by a bonky nutter wiv a big sharp bit o metal. Again, a learning experience. (lesson learned: keep your delicate warcasters well away from squads of demoniacally possessed barbarian nutters wiv broadswords...)

incidentally, for those of you who havent seen Kaz's minis in the flesh, you should do. Theyre blinking marvellous. far better than the pics make out. I was well impressed.

Thanks to Ash for hosting and thanks to M_i_J for losing gracefully twice in one day.
I had fun with my 'Nid horde today. Moving all those models took a while and looking up all the rules that I never use ate up some time, but the game moved along at a lesiurely pace and I had fun. I think I will be using the Parasite of Mortrex again. That flying winged beasty is fun.
Thanks to Badruck for picking out my Warcaster for Warmachine. Strakov got the job done in the end and ol'Mortie ended up needing to be stiched back together by Cryx's finest necro-surgeons. :D

Thanks for joining lads. Had a great game of fantasy battle. My 20 Orc Boar Boyz got smashed to bits by a 66 horde of Bloodletters but luckily one orc rolled double 1s and managed to stay one extra round before he was squished. The highlight had to be the stone thrower taking out 2 Demon monsters and the Giant stomping up and down 10 times on one of Badrucks poor dogs. It was the dogs that saved the bloodletters from getting a shoeing from the Giant in the rear and gave Badrick a clear win. We played this game with our umpire Frans who luckily knew all the 8th edition rules very well. I'll definitely run a 40k and fantasy day again sometime. Easy to run and set up.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.
