I will come to Joshin around lunchtime. I've fix the schedule of this weekend this late, so that I have no particular appointment to play.
I would come with 750 pt. of Grey Knights and my small Circle (Baldur) warband to try them out.

I've never fought Circle before. Why don't we have a game? I'll bring my Scyrah. How many points can you bring?

Thank you for your invitation!
I can bring models for 36 points, which make up 30 points warband for Baldur (+6 War Beast points).

Thanks to Prim for lending me a Space Wolves army. And thanks to Prim and MtP for having games with me. Squeezing a win or being tabled, it was all fun.

Dark Eldar (4-points (win+ general under 150 points ?)) vs. Space wolves (1 point -general under 150 points)
- Good game to Mike. It hurt to be tabled at the end of turn 4, but I learned something about necessity to have plenty of medium strength AT to shoot down raiders (which is a nice change from shooting at heavier armor of IG and SM-eq). Once those witches close the distance things get out of hand.

Chaos Space Wolves (1 point (general under 150 points)) vs. Space Wolves (4 points (win+ general under 150 points)
- Good game to Prim. Tight game. I thought I goofed with my tactics a few times, but I guess I got lucky and scratched and clawed my way to a win.
I think one game is not enough to settle the SW and CSM capabilities, but having actually looked at the codex more closely I can see some of the drawbacks. (The expensive terminators when you go for powerfists/thunderhammers/storm shields; the lack of regular sergeants; even the exchange between Combat Tactics to Counterattack.)While I've always thought the CSM codex capable, I still feel it still lacks the options and flash of the DE and SW codex.
Anyway, the game made consider restarting CSM even before the new codex. It is just he fact we can expect new models that makes me hesitate.

A thought occurs to me! Thinking about the game against Mike, the D6 attacks from the Glaives really punished my units. But the SWs have the very same weapon. I guess if I was going to play the SWs in the future, I should consider having the same ability in the GH units.

Thanks to my arch-nemesis Underdweller for a great game of 40K. For once I did not become Genestealer snacks, though the last two Genestealers did manage to run 2 units of Lootaz off the board and cripple my Looted Wagon. So I suppose maybe I did at that.
In this episode I learned that Termagants, while not dangerous on their own, when matched with a Hive Tyrant and Tervigon equal, counter attacking, poisoned, re-rolling attack dice Termegants and are another species entirely. Good thing they never got a charge off, because I be they had Furious Charge too. Ack!
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

I had such a good day :D Thanks Prim for an excellent game of Black Powder. The fighting withdrawal was a challenging scenario to play with lots of surprises. For example the big unit of Prussians that held their own against cannon and line infantry fire the whole battle only to be blasted off the table edge by a 9 pounder cannon when they were just inches from their goal and winning the game  That has to be a legendary battle story for any game I've played. This Black Powder is the game for me. Fun and easy to paint, the models look good and colourful and the game is very easy to play. The command phase is a game of it's own and really makes you feel like you have control of your army. I like the way we used a rough match of units rather than a strict point system and I think this added to the friendly, easy going feel of the game.
It was a good chance to swap painting techniques on kilts for Scots and moustaches for Grenadiers. :)

Warhammer was also fun.
@ Ten, my hat is off to you for a most excellent army that is superbly painted and looks outstanding on the tabletop. It felt really good to be playing with two fully painted armies and like Black Powder, I felt a certain level of acheivement from this game. We only got to 3 turns due to lack of 'real time' but it would have been good to get that 4th turn in. You were winning on victory points and I had the lead by one scenario point. I had two more banners up for grabs and a general so it could have gone either way. Guess we had to call it a draw this time but we should definitely play these armies again and allow more time.

@Jus, good man. Thanks for GMing and training us on our strength vs toughness mental tables. I learnt a lot from this game. Particuarly about magic, charging and fighting in buildings. Very interesting stuff. :D This game system never fails to surprise and enlighten us on tactics and rule specifications. Good for the little grey cells.
The campaign that Jus is running really helped me to finish that Orc army and get it gaming and the feeling is second to none. A sense of freedom and accomplishment. I urge everyone with an army to get involved with the campaign and get their armies looking top notch and flufftastic ;)
Tell you what, how about you paint your army for yourselves and I'll give you 600 dollars! ;) (joke, really)

Finally the highlight of the day had to be Mikes delivery of the new Flames of war rulebook and veteran stamps and the Iron maiden t shirt. Up the Irons :) :D

See you all next time, whenever that may be. Thanks again.

@Ash: Thanks for the good game. It would have been nice to get in a few more turns and have a certain victor, but I am satisfied with a hard-fought draw in which we both had some success. Although my still army still has much to paint, the two armies looked good on the battlefield.

@Jus: Your assistance was much appreciated. Game progress would have been impeded without your solid grasp of the rulebook. Any time you need someone to pay not to paint your army, I'm your man.

@Ashmie: Glad to be of service. IMHO there aren't enough songs about the charge of the light brigade \nn/

`Job/Koji: Thanks for the games guys. It was good to chalk up a victory against the hated Space Puppies for once and the game against the Desert Scorpions was a close run (fun) thing too.
