Hey, Warhammer guys, I want to see if we can plan out sides and point for our up coming game, next Sunday. With less then a week, it may pay off for us if we decide on points, sides and start time for us. I think Jus and Seb wrote of interest in the game. I was hoping Kojibear might also write something, but we haven't heard from in awhile. Also maybe Frans, Ashmie or MtP might be interested.
Personally I can field up to 2k. While we don't have to divide points perfectly, the two sides will need to be balanced. I was thinking 3-4k to keep the game within a few hours. What do you guys think?
I was hoping the game might begin after lunch, as I have a morning FOW game scheduled.
See you guys across (or on the same side) of the table.

Sounds good, my force is mainly designed for 1500 pts but if I add some heroes and other options I think I can push it up to 2000 points so both is doable. I am playing WoC so I will be on the "it's good to be bad" side. Ready to play any time during the day.

good idea job. I vote 2000 points each, so it can be a right and good battle for the ages! The beauty of building a list with percentage caps is that with you want to team up, you just merge 2 lists together and you know you will be still be within the legal boundaries. If all agreed, I was hoping to get it started as soon as doors open, and get it done 'fore lunch, but we can see how things go.

As far as allies go, theres a few interesting rules in the book:
forces of destruction armies - vampire counts/orc and goblins/warriors of chaos - when allied are considered "trusted allies" and get to use generals inspiring presence, can have characters join any unit from either army, must test for fleeing if ally flees and are considered friendly targets for buff spells etc.
this is the same for forces of order armies - dwarfs, wood elves, highelves, etc.

if order allies with destruction, they will be "desperate allies" : don't get any of the above benefits, but doesn't panic is allies break or get pwned. And take dangerous terrain test if fleeing through and allied unit.

Sorry, Jus I can't do it before lunch, as I've got something else prearranged. Also it doesn't seem we have a committed forth player. I think once we get that name, we should set about organizing teams. There may have to be "Desperate Alliance" as we have various factions at play, and a lot of dirty, dirty evil players.
(2k sounds good, but do you mean "2k/player" or "2k/faction"? I'm guessing the former, because that would be on the border of "epic" :) )
Anyway, an afternoon kickoff would have the added advantages of giving Seb a chance to get his first game in (unless Tajimi gave him that opportunity), using the morning and lunchtime to give teammates a chance to convene and tweak lists one last time, and we can fight on a full stomach (you know how happy that makes a dwarf :D ).
What do you guys say to a 1:00 pm kickoff?

2000 points/player baby! the whole nine yard.

Ok we'll make it for after luncheon. Might give Seb or someone else a game in the morning or watch, jeer and give biased advice. Either that or maybe Frans, ashmie and the k-bear want a team game in the in the morning.

sure can mate. I'll give you a crash course through fantasy battle first thing in the morning, and just as well. Best to get some practice in, before you go up against the veterans, the likes of Mike the pike who have no qualms about curb stomping baby seals in the face. [/kidding].

That curb stomping was revenge for the 40K debacle!
I won't even be bringing my Dark Elves so there won't be any curb stomping I fear.

BTW I am keen for this afternoon team game so I'll be bringing some Beasts along. Who else is up for this? So far I think it's Me, Job, Jus and Seb, right?

No matter how much I try, whatever options I add I can't push my army up to 2000 points. So I will take my 1750 or my 1500 list and then my team mates will have to take 2125 or 2250 lists. That is if we are 3 in the team.
