@ DL: I was planning on showing up as early as possible. If I can I'll try to arrive at 9:00.
@ DL and MiJ: You guys both have offered kindly your CSM armies. I was looking at MiJ's stuff and it is awfully impressive, but I would worry about handling such nice stuff (no offense to DL's army, of course). I would like to still try out some plague marines and a Dreadnaught if that is not too much. Maybe I should borrow the rest from DL and create a mix of units to just have some fun.

Any opponents open around 9:30?

@ job - good to hear you are coming nice and early. If you do want me to bring some 40K stuff, please tell me asap as I don't plan to bring 40K unless you need some minis. I have lots of stuff except for dreadnaughts, possessed, raptors and vindicators. So choose your poison.

@Dlord - we should probably confer as to waht CSM to bring, as I'll be tight for space and no doubt you will be too. No point in bringing duplicates.

@Job - if you want to plan a 1500pt list and let us know what's in it, we can bring the minis you need. I promise not to custom build my list to kill whatever you use. (that would be dull and pointless.) I'll make an eldar list now and just use that, regardless of what you choose.

I'll happily play Job, Prim or both from 9:30. If you can, make sure youre familiar with the CSM and eldar books before we play. I'm not one to fudge on rules, but neither do I enjoy spending ages flicking through rulebooks. I know both these codecii well (as i play both armies myself) so I can pretty much play without looking up anything. Eldar can have some wierdy units (plus I may well use some FW stuff) so reading up on what to expect will save hassle during the game.

Looking forward to it :)

*edit* I'm gonna be lazy and ask "How about 1750 points for 40k?" cos I'm list building and cant fit in all the fancy toys I want at 1500...

Same here. I love fantasy, but the host who has kindly rented the space is a 40k guy so I mean to not disappoint.

Maybe another time Adm. Badruck. :)

@DL: do you have four rhinos? A predator? An LR? Also do you have any regular CSM and berzerkers?

@mij: can I borrow 20 plague marines, the devastators and the dreadnaught?

I can do you 14 plague marines (4 of whom have melta guns and 2 of whom are sergeants) and 6 chosen (who have plasma guns.) As long as we both know what's what, I have no problem with you saying "that plasma gun is actually a bolter". *shrug*

There are 7 havocs (devastators), 4 of whom have heavy bolters (again, if you wanna call em lascannons thats fine.) And yup, I can bring Esmerelda.

fyi, I intend to use eldar codex units, plus probably these guys:

Shadow Spectres

Warp Hunter

The rules for these models are linked to from their respective pages. Like all eldar, they can dish it out but they cant take it.

Am I right in thinking you're fairly new to 40k? reason I ask is, should I be coming at this game in a kinda "grrrr! I gonna whup yo ass, daemon worshipping beyotch!" or should I be more "that's not a bad idea, but you should probably deal with those banshees coming up your flank first" ?

Oh, and are you prepping a 1750 pt list? It'd make life easier for me if you were (dang eldar cost so many points), but if its tricky for you I can downsize to 1500 if I need to.

oh! important point:

can someone please bring a copy of the 40k rulebook? Mine is the humungous collecters ed, so if someone can bring the wee pockt one just in case of rules queries, thatd be dead handy. ta much :)

@Prim - if i play Job at 40k in the morning, do you fancy a game in the afternoon?
