COOL PLACE FOR GAMING SESSIONS AND EVENTS
Re: COOL PLACE FOR GAMING SESSIONS AND EVENTS
Just to confirm. Friday is a no for me but Saturday can be a yes if you hold something on that day. Let me know.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Ok, so let's move it to next week. What day is it ok for you? Of course we'll play 'till late (provided we're not too noisy)
Re: COOL PLACE FOR GAMING SESSIONS AND EVENTS
As I was in the area I popped into Mondo Books today to scope the place out. It's looks like a nice place, easy to get to and with plenty of space. Its comparable to Joshin in size, maybe a little bigger, its hard to tell as Joshin has a lot of tables filling up the space and the book shop is obviously full of books. It is more comfortable than Joshin though with some comfy sofas and carpeting.
On the other hand, it currently only has two small glass coffee tables which really aren't suitable for anything other than smallish board games or RPGs, so if anyone wants to play 40k, WFB or any other wargame they will need to get tables in. Since some players do have their own battlemats, green tablecloths aren't that important I think. Someone will need to bring terrain though (and since Pikey and myself probably wont be in attendance....).
The place does have potential, but it would require a lot of investment on the part of the owners/gamers to get enough tables in to really replace Joshin and at that stage customers looking to buy books would have trouble getting in. Its probably more suitable just as a casual place to hang out and play from time to time.
@Koji - Sorry, I didn't see any Black Library books. It is a second hand book store, so I guess folks just dont throw them out.

Re: COOL PLACE FOR GAMING SESSIONS AND EVENTS
I think this week will be a bit tough I was thinking about it being an all night or at least a very late night event if it is not then I will not be able to make it. I finishe work on Friday at 20:30 the best I could do is a 21:30 start time.

Re: COOL PLACE FOR GAMING SESSIONS AND EVENTS
Thank you for popping in. I don't think we need a BIG investment to get a couple of big-sized tables and another handful of small sized tables. Actually we are already scouting for some... we already have enough chairs, but they are in the storage room, so maybe you haven't seen them yet. So let's postpone our first meeting to NEXT FRIDAY (28th), around 19ish... No huge games, as I don't know yet if we will be able to find some big cheap tables... if you find something we might interested in please contact us. Again, become our friends on Facebook (there's a fantastic application we have which allows you to search our catalogue), and tell your friends (be they gamers or not). We can order games and book for you, so please do not hesitate calling.

Re: COOL PLACE FOR GAMING SESSIONS AND EVENTS
I can probably come next Friday evening, but I don't have any board games so would be at the mercy of others.
Re: COOL PLACE FOR GAMING SESSIONS AND EVENTS
I can try to arrive next Friday, but I'd probably arrive 8:30. I have work until 7:45, so it would have to be afterwards.

I've got a 4x4 board I can donate if you have a way of getting it to the store. I can probably swing by next Friday night. I can be there by 8 or so. I have some board games and whatnot I can bring.

Sounds good. I'm afraid I'm busy the weekend if the 28th as it's the Halloween Cthulhu RPG eventin Tsu on Sunday the 30th so I will be preparing for that.
Big prizes are up for grabs in our Halloween Lovecraft quiz so it should be a lot of fun. Hope to see some folks there.
I'll definitely check out Mondo next time you meet.
