Thank you for your proposal. I'll bring mat & some terrain there.
Okay, if you have a battle mat, I'll bring a few extra pieces of terrain this time.

If I remember correctly, the Zengo venue opens at 9:00 am? I should be there before 9:30 at least. Important to eat a good breakfast before a hard day of gaming.
@Auxryn - I've got the Dark Vengeance CSM + some termies all painted and have pumped the army list up to 750 points exactly. I've decided to leave my unpainted stuff behind, (a lot of them are still headless!) but I don't mind what you bring.

I'll head out Zengo way around 9 and introduce myself any other members that are there. Thanks again, I guess I'll see you around 9:30, really looking forward to it.

Thanks to everyone for two great games! I managed to unload a full truck of orks into marines not just once, but four times! I also fired the shokk attack gun at least six times without even killing myself! As orks go, it was a great day.

@komura, @auxryn & mike: Thanks for the games! The morning game was really fun; it felt like I had it in the bag for the first half, but those reserves arriving quickly dashed my hopes. The afternoon was a much different format than I usually play since I had an infantry-heavy list, but it was a lot of fun too - especially seeing how many melta shots grey knights can take before they fall down. :D

Cheers mates, see you next month.

@ Komura-san: Thanks for having me as your team mate. I really appreciate the games with you and your friends. Your IG were really great, shooting up the terminators and the Grey Knights Dreadknight.

Komura-san's brave Vostoyan rank up and march in order into the teeth of the Dark Angels position. My Night Lords infiltrate onto the central position.

Belial and his Deathwing cut down a legion of the cultists, leaving the Chaos Lord with two cultists cowering behind his robes.

@ Mike the Pike: Thanks a lot for the game. It may be the best game of 7th Edition 40k I've had yet. It was really close and back and forth all day.

Quick Battle Report
1500 points: Eldar vs Chaos Space Marines
The Mission: "Big Guns Never Tire" with Night Fighting on the first turn. One objective is central. A second objective is near the Night Lord deployment. There's are 2 other objectives on either flank.
Deployment: Spearhead deployment. Night Lords get first turn and deploy about the two central objectives. The cultists infiltrate with their Lord. The bikes infiltrate on the right flank near the Eldar grav-tanks. Two flyers are held in reserve. The Eldar deploy with Wave Serpants on each flank and 2 grav-tanks in the corner. The grab-bikes occupy the center with two far seers. Warwalkers out-flank and Warpspyders are held in reserve.
Turn one, nothing much happens other than the cultists advance deep onto the central objective, the bikers approach the grav-tanks, and both the storm guardians and dire avengers disembark.
Turn two, the Chaos Heldrake and Helblade both arrive. The Heldrake roasts most of the dire avengers, the Helblade blows up a grav-tank, and the bikers finish off the dire avengers. On the other flank the havocs soften up the guardians and the lord cleans up with the cultists. In the Eldar response, the Eldar support arrive. The Warwalkers destroy the Havocs and the Warpspyders destroy the Defiler.
Turn three, the Heldrake torches three Eldar bikes. The Chaos bikes charge and destroy the 2nd grav-tank. The Chaos Lord and the surviving cultists charge the farseers and bikers. One of the farseers is slain by the Chaos Lord. The others flee. One Rhino is destroyed and the survivors are cut to pieces with exception of a lone survivor.
Turn four, the Heldrake turns its attention to the Warpsyders and incinerates four of them. The Heldrake destroys 2 of the Warwalkers. The Chaos bikes charge the Eldar warlord. The farseer slays the champion. The Eldar respond by destroying the last rhino. The survivors huddle about the central objective. The Warpsypders capture the other central objective. The Wave serpents hold onto the flank positions.
Turn five, the Heldrake drops into hover mode and flames the rest of the warpsyders. The Chaos Lord charges the Eldar far seer warlord, but manages to only smack himself in the face with his daemon weapon. In the Eldar turn, the Wave Serpant takes advantage of a positional mistake and shoots the Heldrake down in its bum.

Result: Eldar victory. They hold two of the objectives along with Linebreaker. The Chaos held one objective along with First blood and Linebreaker. It was a 7-5 Eldar victory.

Things I learned:
• Heldrakes are powerful if they arrive on the 2nd turn. Don't forget to use the Daemonforge when it is critical to burn up a unit quickly. Remember the position of its rear arc when in hover mode!
• The Helblade had its best game. The Helstorm Cannons can be powerful if given a chance.
• Bikes and cultists are quite effective. Rhinos are very cumbersome for assault oriented troops. Defilers are fun, but they are a bit two weak in an environment full of S 6/7 weapons.
• Eldar can pump out shots and create mischief, but tend to crumble under weight of moderately high S weapons.
• Don't forget the Wave Serpants.
• Out-flanking Warwalkers are dangerous. They put the hurt on both me and Dekana today.
• Beware the deep striking Warpspyders.
