Sure! Seems the easiest way to go.

@ Job, I just checked with the Mrs and because I have been ill with fever these past two weeks and off work I have been banned from going anywhere this weekend. Leslie's house, Nagoya. I think I'm aloud to the corner shop but only under cover of darkness. So apologies once again. :(
This may free up some space as there was some dispute about morning games so that's a plus at least.

@MiJ, You were right about married life Luke, tell your sister you were riiiiiiiiiiiiighhhhhht. Fade to black.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

My mantra is:
Check with the wife a month in advance
Tentatively suggest you may be available for gaming to the forum
Check with the wife a week in advance
Reiterate your probable availability to the forum
Check with the wife the day before
Confirm availability to the forum
Go gaming

in that order.

Sad but true. :(
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Personally, I don't have a mantra, but if I did it would be:
Let the missus know my plans well in advance and negotiate as necessary.
Don't make plans to go gaming if I am off work with a fever for two weeks. (Ok, that's a little specific but the idea is sound).

@Ash - Hope you feel better soon. If you've been ill, it's probably best to rest up and get yourself fighting fit asap rather than risk a relapse (and the wrath of SWMBO) by trekking out to Nagoya.

@ash: I understand about the illness, but being a fellow married man, you've gotta know to check with the mrs. first thing.

Otherwise I sympathize with you that your wife is very stringent with your time, but I can see her side of the affair, kid and all. It seems like a common situation. Maybe you can broker a lasting 'game day' policy with her. I know one guy who got the freedom of one night a week at our old store along with every other weekend alternating. Later the second child forced him to make it only his Wednesday nights and at the convenience of the home. Good luck. :)

Otherwise I look forward to the chance you have to repay the game, dude. ;)

Thanks for the advice lads. It was never an issue before we were married and had kids. I guess she doesn't want me continually getting sick. I have been burnt out ever since the weekend of 4 rpgs with jet lag and no sleep last month. Time for some recharging.
Oh I'm working on the rope ladder to get out the bedroom window for Epic next month. :)

Well, I am free in the morning if you would like a game of Warhammer Fantasy, Job? - but I have only played 2 games at 1000 points each so far so I would not be a very challenging opponent!

@ Underdweller: Sure! That would be awesome. 1000 points or 1500? Any other number of points you'd like to play?

@ Ash: Good luck with the Great Escape plans. My jailer allows me convenience of the front door, but I'd do the same if comes to desperation mode for Epic event.

Cool! How about 1500? I will work my way up slowly!
