@Mike - I can provide you with a carpet of orks for a morning game if you like. 1500pts would be fine. Though it is a new edition and we are likely to have afternoon games so perhaps fewer points is better?

@Auxryn: Sorry, I'm playing prim in the A.M. We can try in the afternoon if you like.

@Auxryn, I can bring 1500 to 2000 points for a morning game at Magragge if you fancy another space marine battle in the morning.

I have a game with Prim in the afternoon, but am still free in the morning. Looks like a 40k extravaganza.

Well.. probably going to try to assemble some Space Wolves this weekend up to 1000 pts, as Orks and Guard seem to be well represented this time (and I realise I don't have my soon to be defunct Ork Codex here in Japan). Plus, marines are low model count and all that. A weekend of glueing beckons.

@ToD: I revisited the lists so it will be a 1260-995 game instead. I figure you are right about paring down the list to better ensure we finish before lunch. The armies will still each have 6 platoons and essentially the same, but your tank platoon will be a bit more fragile and my infantry will have really poor ratings.

1260 points. Confident Trained
HQ
1 M4A3

1st Platoon
1 M4A3
2 M4A3 (76mm)

2nd platoon
3 M4A3

Armored Rifle Platoon
Full sections

Corps Tank Destroyer Platoon
1 Command Jeep, 2 M10s, 2 M10 Wolverines (late)

Calvary Recon Platoon
1 Calvary Recon Patrol (1 M7 Greyhound, 1 Recon Jeep, 1 Mortar Jeep)

Field Artillery Battery
4 tubes 105mm

AOP

* I write this so you can review any pertinent rules and get an idea what you might be using. You might want to review the rules on tank destroyers and AOPs, but I'm happy to explain as we play or look them up later too.
* Also, your tanks will benefit from the Detriot's Finest rule which allows you to move 14". In addition your 76mm tanks and the Wolverines have Anti-tank 13.

I've changed my list to a 1000 point Volksgrenadier list.

277. Division Volksgrenadier list. 995 points. Reluctant Trained.

HQ
CiC, 2iC

Sturm Platoon
3 sections
+ Panzershrek

Schutzen Platoon
3 sections

Heavy Platoon
2 Machine Gun sections

Volksgrenadier Anti-tank Platoon
3 Pak40s

Anti-tank Platoon [Confident Veteran]
3 Stug IV

Volksgrenadier Scout Platoon
2 sections

Volks Rocket Launcher Battery
3 21 cm Rocket Launchers

• Note: All infantry stands in the Schutzen and Sturm platoons are armed with Panzerfausts, so it might be advisable not to assault them with armor.

Morning is best for me.
So who wants to fight some Guard!?
I will NOT be calling them Astra Copyrightablitum. I don't care what the Codex says.
