COOL PLACE FOR GAMING SESSIONS AND EVENTS

Regular (and irregular) events in the Nagoya area can be posted up here. If you want to get your gaming fix, this is the place to look first.

Ill be there, I can play any games available.
But it would be nice to get some good Strange Aeons going. Need a 4x2 space though, but that aint carved in stone so a smaller table could do fine as well.

Either making it a regular event (e.g. 2nd Friday of every month), or giving people a few weeks notice will allow folks to reorganise their schedule for it. It will also avoid problems where there is a clash with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. :D
Prim knows what he's talking about. Set a date and they will come. Just not me, until next month anyways. I've walked by the place, it's only a 5-10 minute walk from where we do the game day at Joshin Kids Place. I'll be sure to check it out.
Though on second though, can I resist the Rocky Horror Picture show?
@ennui- I havn't forgotten about you. Strange Aeons one of these days, I promise. Hobby night, chum!

I agree with these two guys. If you set a consistent date, I think people will try to make it. It is particularly true for a guy like me. I can schedule things in advance, but I need to have advance knowledge and be certain the event will be there two months later. So, if you make this a monthly or bi-monthly event, I'm certain to begin to schedule it into my month. ;)
I think most people have planned Joshin somehow into their schedules and I would bet they would do the same for a new event.

unfortunately this conversation has been had many, many times before. It's notoriously hard to get pick up games going in Japan. Many of us have Japanese spouses/S.O.s that don't get the concept of "hanging out after work." Some people live far away and just can't commute to play a game for a couple of hours at night.

Maybe you can do something like the Table Talk Cafe Daydream in Tokyo.

You'll need a bigger market if you want to have people in the store every night, so maybe you can try marketing to Japanese gamers, too. If you can offer yourself or a part time employee to GM games every night, it would be easier to get customers.

Just set up a date and please stick with it. Once people know for certain that things aren't going to waffle continuously I think they'll show up. I can't commit to any event that cancels within a few days of it being offered.
