I'll bring a box of my 40k Tau for an afternoon game should the chance present itself.
See you all tomorrow!

@Dekana: I'll be there around 9:30-10:00 so no need to hurry. I'll bring terrain and a truckload of dark lances too.

@job

My loyalties aside, that actually sounds pretty good! Got to be better than tough dwarf-flesh, but not necessarily to a Carnosaur's beady eye...

So I'll skip the event today and see you next month, back in Joshin. Cheers!

Thanks to Rob today for a good game of Tau vs. Tau, and a big thanks to ToD for introducing me to Dropzone Commander. Definitely want to play more of that some time.

Thanks to Yellowstreak and Kojibear for making space for me in their game after my scheduled opponent piked.
Two fun games of BA, a draw in the first game (British Paras and French Foreign Legion Vs. German Heer) and a win for me in the second game (Captain America, Union Jack and some American GI's against the Red Skull, some zombies and a mob of angry gorillas).
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next event.

Just to remind everyone (especially myself), November's game is at Joshin at the end of the month. December's game is on the 21st in Zengo.

@ Komura-san: Great game! It was close, although having more order dice seemed to help me get lots of pin markers on your infantry first. That and my flamer caused a lucky moral check failure. Otherwise, well fought, close game!

Image
Setup. Komura's veteran Italian paratroopers vs. Job's regular German grenadiers. The mission was Demolition. (Dynamite your opponent's base.)

Image
View from the German side of the board. The medic marked my headquarters.

Image
View from the Semovente 75/18. (Background: Two of our mates playing a new interesting 10mm sci-fi game.)

Image
A tank battle begins as the German StuG scores the first hit causing a fire on the Semovente. The Italian crew recover and put out the fire. [turn 1]

Image
The German grenadiers work their way up through the burnt out village. Two squads of Italian paratroopers begin a flanking move on the Italian right.

Image
At the same time another squad supported by an AB41 begins a flanking maneuver on the Italian left. The grenadiers continue to push up the middle. [turn 2]

Image
The Italian paratroopers on the right come up against German fire from an orchard supported by a Sdkfz 251/9. [turn3]

Image
The Semovente blasts chunks out of the German grenadier squads, but is finally flipped and wrecked by penetrating shot from the StuG. [turn 5]

Image
The German flamethrower torches one Italian causing one squad to rout on the Italian right. Next a light howitzer shot causes the second unit to flee. With the Italian right defeated the Germans drive for the opposite flank where one squad of Italians have broken through. [turn 5]

Image
The remains of two German squads are lead by their Leutnant. The Italian Sottotenente prepares to defend his base.

Image
The Italians sprint for the German command.

The game ended shortly afterwards. The Germans beat the Italians to the punch, but Komura played every last option before we called it. The game was my first at 1000 points and with my own tank. It only supported how much I enjoy playing Bolt Action and playing Komura-san. Good game, again!

@ Dekana, and Mike the Pike: Good game guys. I really appreciated seeing the new Dark Eldar flyers and playing against them in their spiffy new codex. Truly, the Dark Eldar are a glass cannon. It seemed they packed quite a punch, but most of the stuff (with exception of the Grotesque and Homunculus) were kind of brittle.

And if there was one big lesson, if you have any open-topped transports, beware the hellhound and its flamer!
