Nagoya Games Day August 28th 2011

Post by Primarch » Wed Aug 17, 2011 10:40 pm

Time for another "Who is playing who" thread.
I will be there this month, but due to logistic reasons I will only be bringing skirmish games.
Cutlass, (I will bring my Privateers as a 'ringer' crew for those players who haven't played much yet so you can build up some experience for your gang).
Malifaux,
Warmachine.

Looks like I've got FoW and Epic line up with job. Hopefully there'll actually be enough time in the day to play a game of each, heh.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Well, I'm up for it. I think if we start at 10am we could get in both games. It should give us 8 hours. Hopefully that is enough time to include lunch plus maybe a third game. :)
How about we play whichever game you prefer to get in and done first, then move over to the other in the afternoon?

Would anyone be up for some 40K? It doesn't seem to be real popular now, but I would like to try out some of the new stuff I've got.

If not, I'll still be happy to play some Cutlass/Warmachine!

I can come until 2 or 3, as usual.

I'm up for some 40K! I can't look my fellow 40K players in the eye until I finally give those Tau a good kicking. Is the "new stuff" in line with the greater good?

Sounds good! I have some new Piranha skimmers for the Tau, not sure how effective they will be against squat orks, but I guess I'll find out!

Tau VS Orks for 1000 points?

Sounds good! I don't really have much of a preference for which comes first, though.

Might be quicker if we have lists ready to go. How about you work up a list for me with your Americans (plus my single armored rifle platoon and 3 shermans if you need them) for FoW and I'll bring ready lists for Epic? Take a look at my "Dave Paints Epic" thread - you can choose any of those armies and I'll take another that doesn't share models with it.

Okay, how many points for FOW? 1750 is standard tournament size. 1500 is a good size, and 2k is always fun. The game can be played all the way down to 750 or so, and lower is good for skirmish games.
If you have some experience with the game, I recall you having played a few games, I think 1.5k is a good size to trying to get a grasp of company level fights with support elements. Only thing is you will be playing tanks, so it may be harder to fit a good sized unit in that.
Whatever, I'll make sure the list includes the stuff you've painted up, so you won't miss their use.

As for Epic, I'm tempted by the Imperial stuff. I like how tidy the SM stuff is (it would be easier to collect), but the Imperial tanks is where my heart lies. Tanks plus stromtroopers, and can I say 'no' to titans? Doubtful. So some of those Imperial Guard and Extermitus please! :D

I have some new Lootas to blow them out of the sky. Looks like a speed vs dakka show down!

Hmmm.
Is anyone interested in Cutlass or am I wasting my time bringing it along?
