Hi guys... long time no see, my name's Emanuele (the Italian guy... what do you mean 'I don't remember???')

Anyway I started collaborating with this cool bookstore in Kamimaezu called Mondo Books (here and here is all the information you need). We were thinking about having game events or simply gaming sessions in the bookstore. There is plenty of space (enough for 20 people+), the place is comfortable and close to a major subway station AND you can play your own background music.

The deal we were thinking about is like this:

500 yen entrance, 20% discount on any book you might find worth buying and UNLIMITED COFFEE and TEA (cokes and other drinks normal price). Also: if you want to sell some games let us know, we might be interested. It would be GREAT if we can get this place as Nagoya's gaming hub. Please spread the news!

Cheers
Emanuele

Sounds good, but how many tables do they have for playing games on?

I love the video guide to the store. But from what I can see it looks like a place to play RPGs not MWGs

Wow, long time since I heard from you Emanuele. This looks like an awesome deal you are working out.

What kind of games were thinking about? Will it be RPG or board games? I would be down in a moment if the gaming events occur in the evenings.

First all, thank you for the fast reply and sorry if I didn't complete Nagoya Hammer's blog... got busy all of a sudden and then completely forgot about it... bad boy! About space and tables do not worry... we are about to get sawhorses and tables for big games (btw, do you know some place where we can get them for a cheap price? Oh and also green tablecloth...) and smaller tables for other kinds of games (please spread the word to non-wargamers as well!). Of course sofas, short-legged tables and other stuff will be moved out when we are playing. Please come to visit us and also, if it's ok for you, let's make an event calendar.

I'd be in if it wasn't so far for me and such a small venue unfortunately. Would the shop be open to the public while people play? How is the space situation at Joshin these days? I stopped going recently as I thought it was unfair to players in Aichi when I had plenty of places to game in Mie.

Small venue??! I mean it's bigger than the Joshin place and it doesn't smell bad!!! (actually one of the reasons I stopped going Joshin is just the sorry state of the place and the shopkeepers attitude). If it's a big event we might close the shop, but actually there's not that many people coming over, so I don't think you'll get annoyed or distracted... I was also thinking about night sessions during the week
