Schedule and what to bring to the Ogaki Showdown.

Post by Admiral-Badruck » Wed Sep 26, 2012 11:31 pm

What to bring.

Your showered and washed self with plenty of deodorant.

Army: the one you sent me in pm or the one that I have prepared for you.

Copy of the 40k rule book, a copy of your codex and a copy of your list.

Tape measure and dice templates and objective makers.

A tray to move your army from table to table would be nice as would a proper display board.

And last but not least I would like everyone to bring a bag of you favourite chips.

Drinks... In the past I have said anything goes but the last few times I have been carrying home a lot of trash. So in order to fix this I will be providing all the drinks. For the event. There will be tea, orange drink, clapis, and some kind of sports drink. And water from the water cooler.

Breakfast 8:30 for anyone who would like to join me
Doors open at 9:00

Mission briefing at 9:10

Rolling dice at 9:30

First game ends at 11:00

Second game starts 11:30

Second game ends 13:00

Lunch 13:00

Game 3 starts 14:00

Game 3 ends 15:30

Game 4 for anyone who is still up for it. Starts 16:00 and ends at 18:00

18:00 clean up. We need to be out of the hall by 18:30.

No worries about most of this lot, but a display board with only 2 days to go before the event? I hope you are kidding about that one!

I will let you know if I can make it for breakfast. Where are you planning to meet?

It sounds awesome, ah wish I could join.
I don't have a display board or even know what that is.
Have a brilliant day guys.

A display board is a scenic board upon which you can display your army. It implies that a) your army is all painted, b) it's all based thematically, and c) you've gone to the expense and effort of building a fully textured terrain board with space for your entire army on it.

Most people don't have one :?
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Showers on the other hand are a must.
Nice touch Admiral. I don't think I've ever been told to shower before an event, good thinking though.
I've got my sports day tomorrow otherwise I would totally be there. I'll attend another one if you run it. 40k army should be ready to go in the next couple of weeks.

I will also try to make it for breakfast. I will shower and even change into clean clothes.
