Japan gamers Christmas Party Cancelled.

Post by ashmie » Tue Oct 23, 2012 11:31 am

It's been a hectic year for most so why not let the good times outweigh the bad with a Christmas party?
We would love to invite our fellow war gamers to an end of year knees up.

Why attend?
Mulled wine, cake, good cheer and enough space for 4 to 6 tables plus your choice of game.

It must be expensive.
Not really just the cost of travel and lunch. I'll make the event free this time.

What's in it for me?
Christmas good will, merriment and the option for beers and food after.
Meet new players from Nagoya, Tsu, Yokkaichi, Kuwana, Osaka, Gifu, Shiga, Kobe and Kyoto.

So, I'll take 1 table for my prologue game for Warhammer fantasy roleplay campaign 2013 and the rest can be on a first come first serve basis.

Table 1: 10 until 1.

Prologue and character generation.
Campaign to run monthly for 12 sessions from January 2013.

Prologue: The Grand Theogonist and the road to Middenheim.

Table 2: open for wargames.

Table3: boardgames.

Table 4: card games or more boardgames.

Table 5 and 6 optional.

Please post your interest and let me know if this is something you would like to do.
There was talk of corridor action boardgames like space hulk and space crusade.

Let me know fellas if you can join and what date is best. 15th or 16th. All the best. Hoping for some Christmas cheer to see out the year.

Finding a babysitter will be difficult but I'll see if we can make it down, or if the wife will let me come on my own.

Hmm... I think I might come. I won't be going to Joshin and there are no events during November except, Joshin, so this is kind of one of the last events of the year for me in Japan.

I'm interested in the Fantasy roleplay, but I've never done an rpg before. I'd also like to play board games, and maybe either Warhammer or, Ash, if you want to make up for those missed games we had at Historyhammer or All-Analog, do you want to play FOW or BP?

BTW, what's the location? Otherwise, looks like a neat idea.

Ok I'll book it and whoever can make it can make it.
I might even do two days but I'll book the Sunday 16th for sure and then if Saturday is needed ill book that too.

@Job, I'll let you decide. I'd be up for either of those after lunch.
@ Ten, here's hoping on a babysitter. Would be great to see you both again. :D

@MiJ, I haven't booked it yet. Shall I move it to the 23rd?

23rd would be muuuch more doable for me, thanks, but I appreciate it may not suit everybody. It'd be lovely if you could change it, but don't fret unduly on my account :)

I'd like to come, but if it's the 23rd I'll be in Oz.

Looks like the elderly Igo, rhythmic gymnastics and craft circles have beaten us to it. Center palace is fully booked for December. Lol
Hopefully next year.
@Prim and Admin. Can you add Arts Club Tsu to the gaming calendar for the third Saturday of the month for 2013. Thanks ;)
I'll be running a monthly event on the 3rd Saturday of the month for Warhammer fantasy roleplay in the morning and open games the rest of the time. A party of 6 is needed. Join me January 19th for character generation and the prologue. I'm going to make it on a Saturday so Admiral can join. Not only cos I havent seen him for so long and the guy rocks. But as a thank you for talking me down from a madness that nearly had me quitting the hobby.
There will be 4 to 6 tables available for whatever you the good gamers of Japan want to play. I'll be working on terrain and boards from now until then. 1 fantasy, 1 historical and 1 sci-fi.

For those of you who can't game Saturdays dont despair.
The Tsu RPGs festival will be running again for its third year on March 2nd and 3rd. Also no doubt the all analog games will be happening in October again.

That's how for now.
See you at the Epicstavaganza 2. :D

So once again that's

@ MiJ, perhaps we could do something local on the 23rd around my gaff or yours. Philip, Jesse and Leslie joined a few years back and we played Shadowrun and Dungeon Lords.
Perhaps an afternoon of Alabaster? Space hulk?

Thanks :)
