Nagoya October Games Day: 10/21 at E-able Nagoya

Post by The Other Dave » Sat Sep 22, 2018 10:05 am

Same bat-time, same bat-channel!

As with previous time's we've been at E-able, the venue is here, right near Higashi-Betsuin, we'll have the room from 9am to 4pm, and it'll be 500 yen the day to take part. Pipe up to organize some games!

I've got entrance exams that day (whee!) so I'll be a no-show again, sadly. *shakes fist at work and life responsibilities*

I should be there all day. I have a game of Gaslands lined up in the morning with Sugiura-san. Anybody want to give it a try in the afternoon?

I'd be up for that. I was chatting with the Gaslanders last month, helped them scan the rule book for the "reverse" gear. Looks like a really fun game. Any excuse to play with Tomi-cars!

Who wants to do some lil'40K in the morning and find new ways to beat up Orks? You can outshoot them easy, and while they are good at getting into HTH, they don't have anything that really lets them hit hard. It took me 3 Boyz a Nob with a PowerClaw and 4 Command pts to take out one Primaris. Sure, it's a Primaris, but dang, 4 command pts. Or maybe I'm just wiffing my dice. I am going about 1 for 5 so far in my Killteam career. The only time I managed to win a game was by having more bodies and hiding all the time. Which is good and fine for GeneCults and Panzees, not especially satisfying for the Boyz. But I'm not beat yet!

I'll be able to make it. I'm up for 40k, Bolt Action or Black Powder.

Sounds like fun, but I think I'm looking to try to get in a few small games. Want to give Gaslands a spin, too.
We ought to put together an Orks vs all big game once the codex is out. I bet between Auxryn, Lovejoy, Ono, and the Madmiral and me, we'd have more than 5 (lotz) of points.
