July Nagoya Games Day: July 26th in Higashi Betsuin

Post by The Other Dave » Sun Jul 12, 2020 10:06 pm

Hi all! July's games day has been scheduled.

When: 7/26, from 9am to 4pm
Where: e-able Nagoya, near Higashi-Betsuin station

As per usual, it's 500 yen for the day to take part if you play any games, free to drop by and look around.

Aichi is looking safe, but we're still in a corona world - please come with a mask and be responsible about social distancing.

I, at least, am planning on giving 40K a start, since the day before is when 9th edition drops. I'll have my Crusade force and some terrain - I'll certainly be ready for 25-power combat patrol, and if I can keep my mojo up may even be able to manage a 50-power game, time permitting.

See you all there!
Feel free to call me Dave!

I'd like to Crusade all day this time :) Will bring 50PL worth of stuff though I'm assuming it'll be mostly 25PL games.

I'll definitely be there with my crusade force as well!

I'll have my 50PL army, but I'm happy to play anything. Maybe a few 25PL games would be best? I'd love to play enough to get at least one of my units a battle honour.

How are you all figuring points values and everything before 9th has officIally come out?

I'm itching for some Malifaux if anyone's interested!

Using 8ed PL on the assumption they're not changing much if at all.

That being said points are widely available thanks to the "reviews" of the field manual.

I'd love to play, but I'm still trying to avoid big social gatherings, especially given the recent uptick in Covid cases in Japan.
Hopefully we can get a game in at some point in the not so distant future.

I'd like to give it a try (assuming I can get ahold of the cards and rulebook for 3rd edition in the next few days).

Considering the most unfortunate developments in these several days and my son's appointments to visit grandparents in a few weeks, we decided to skip this month's event. Enjoy and take care, guys!

By the way, during the last weekend, I asked Yukiusagi-san if we will implement additional precautions, considering recent uptick in positive COVID-19 tests in Aichi. He announced that we would ask our members and guests to write down the contacts in case of any mishap and contact-tracing afterwards on Twitter.

I saw the announcement, makes total sense 👍 Hopefully we can keep the windows and doors open for some airflow too.

The spike in positive tests is a concern, I'm still looking forward to (appropriately careful) games this weekend but if things keep going this way we might be obliged to have another break next month.

I will be there

I hope to get a game of Blood Bowl in otherwise I will be bringing a Patrol size (25 PL) force for some 40k fun.
