Nagoya October Games Day: 10/18 at e-able Nagoya
Hi all,
October's games day will be on Sunday the 18th at e-able in Higashi-betsuin this month! As usual, 500 yen to take part.
I *should* (knock on wood) be able to make it this month, and I'll have Crusade along and probably Blitz Bowl as well, if anyone wants to try a quick-playing Blood Bowl-adjacent game out.

Feel free to call me Dave!

I'll be there, hoping to take the Sisters out for some of the new Crusade missions.

How play-able is 40k if I don't have the 9th edition rulebook?
I kinda want to give this Crusade thing everyone's been talking about a shot.

The basic rules are in a download, and putting together a Crusade is pretty simple - we could walk you through it in the Discord if you want to hit the link Karantu posted?Grantholomeu wrote: ↑Sun Sep 27, 2020 7:32 amHow play-able is 40k if I don't have the 9th edition rulebook?

(It's super simple though, 50PL and you get 5 RP, costs 1 to give a character a warlord trait or relic (you don't get the normal freebies), and if you want to use an upgrade Strat on a unit it's permanent and costs RP instead of CP. That's all the bookkeeping before your first game)
Also I hear Nurgle is really good right now

Can you drop the Discord link for me?
Is the list-building the same as before?

Here's the discord link.

List building it's similar. Detachments are the same as matched play but the way warlords, relics and unit upgrade strategems work is a bit different.

I'm hoping someone can show me the ropes to (dark) Crusade.
Also open to playing some Malifaux.
Could we get a decent enough crowd to play a for-fun multiplayer free-for-all bonanza? Something like 250-500pts per player. Play king of the hill, or lay down 6 objectives and find which one is the true objective and sit on it.

That sounds like fun, PL might be better than points though (since people will have Crusade units; could even make it a Crusade game with a narrative prize if we could figure a fair way to distribute the CP).Grantholomeu wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 1:11 pmCould we get a decent enough crowd to play a for-fun multiplayer free-for-all bonanza? I like the PL idea.

I will be there with a 40k type army.
