I heard you were running something like this from Matt.

Sadness! But safety is good.
I am still planning on coming, with terrain, Sisters and Drukhari in tow.

Thanks for the awesome games folks! It was great seeing people and a fun blowout end to the campaign phase.
If anyone's curious, it was an *extremely* good day for the Imperium. While there were some wrinkles with the distribution of campaign points, I'm afraid thanks to Matt's efforts the Defenders ran away with it. Still there are two more phases to go and the stakes get higher so by no means an insurmountable lead.
Thanks to jus for the morning games, after taking a bit of a beating against the Drukhari he re-racked, came back with a better strategy and crushed the shifty elves into paste.
That's how it's supposed to work!
The afternoon game was the special mission for Phase 1, with the Imperium retreating and the Thousand Sons and Tyranids hunting them down. Only the Imperium won the roll off to go first and the Sisters turned around and *attacked* instead, wreaking a terrible toll on the enemy while covering the Tarsonian Ashwalker's withdrawal.
Codex: Adeptus Sororitas is a bit good. Please disregard anyone crying about it online. I look forward to my well deserved comeuppance when Codex: Thousand Sons and Codex: Tyranids roll out.
But Josh and Alan were good sports as always and certainly martyred plenty of Sisters. It was a fun game with great company!

Also @Mattb you get a free battle trait for a unit for winning that game.

Big thanks to Jye for walking me through a few games and for offering such sagely advice on army composition. It was a lot of fun and I learnt a lot. I hope to get my black templars painted up for next time!
@matt/josh : you know, I think it's the dice. I have a lot better luck with larger dice with bevelled edges. Don't ask me how. It's a thing!

That last game was certainly a nice spin on usual games! Having the sisters turn around and start slapping was not under any expectation.
I learn a lot with every game I play. Such as rolling 6 1’s in a row is something that happens.
