If anybody wants to give Kill Team a try but doesn't have the rules / doesn't want to bother trying putting a team together, let me know and I'll put a team together and write up a cheat sheet for you!
Feel free to call me Dave!

Any particular preference for a flavor of marines? You basically need to pick from one 40K datasheet (so firstborn tactical marines or intercessors or assault intercessors or reivers or or or... but no mixing) but anything short of terminators is available!

could we make them bolter intercessors? I could also bring some ultramarines. Just let me know what to bring. onegaishimasu

We sure can! Basically 5 of any one of the various Primaris marines (or 4 Heavy Intercessors, but they're a bit weak until they get an errata). I'll put together a cheat-sheet for bolter intercessors, though!

At this stage I'm planning on being there, and I'd like to use 100 PL of Imperial Soup (definitely a Knight and probably Wolves, though I might go Sisters instead) against whoever wants to challenge me in Flood Tide on Fathom!

That mission involves controlling points and doing actions on them so the Knight will be terrible at it

Alternately we could do it 2v2 and I could bring the knight plus a little patrol of something to back it up!

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been to one of these but I can make it this month and I'd be able to bring upwards if 1500 points of Space Wolves for some 40K and I'd be willing to play some kill team too (although I've never played it before). I could make some kill teams from my space marines but if I get them painted I might have enough Orks for a kill team too.
Spacewolves vs Thousand Sons 1500pts sound good to you? :D
That would be great
I'd better get painting then!

40K folks: is anyone planning to/interested in bringing enough dakka to take down the Knight? If not I will leave it at home, I do want to field it after painting the silly thing but we all know how gatekeeper units work and it's no fun if there aren't enough hammers or meltas or whatever to get the job done.

That being said part of the reason I bought it was @Karantu telling me Knights are underpowered compared to my other armies  Which is true in 9th so long as you're expecting them.

I'm fully in the "it'd be an interesting challenge" camp, although all I really have to deal with a knight is a multi-melta or two (which never hit :D), or... punching, so in practice a game against a knight would probably be trying to play keep-away and win on objectives.

Flood Tide On Fathom has five objectives (pumps) that you take actions on to raise or lower the flood level (the Invaders want to raise it, the Defenders want to not drown) so that's kind of the order of the day anyway 😅

Alternately I could bring Nurgle or Drukhari and play for the bad guys 🤷
