The base ruleset is the same AFAIK - the only real differences between them are the army lists. I prefer epic-uk's myself for tightness of rules writing, but I reckon they're compatible enough for our purposes!

Sure, I'll see what sort of lists I can cobble together with the stuff I have. What points limit should I aim for?The Other Dave wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 2:47 amThe base ruleset is the same AFAIK - the only real differences between them are the army lists. I could probably do around 2000-ish max without it being mostly titans.

That shouldn't be a problem - I think every game I've played in so far, I've built my crew first. I'll probably bring a Molly crew this time. I can make a list and post it in the next couple of weeks.Grantholomeu wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 12:31 pmI like the idea of deciding strategy and schemes beforehand.
And if it's a problem that some people have fewer models to choose from to build their crews, we could always twist the rules and build crews first and then decide strategy and schemes. That way, people who do have models to choose from will generally need to take more of an all-comer's lists, rather than tailoring specifically for that one game.

So... I ended up buying more stuff and now I'm at the point where I could field 2000pts without any aircraft or titans.
Are you planning on fielding any of those? If you aren't I'm not going to bother learning those rules.

For 2000 I wasn’t going to (and I thought I’d bring ‘nids anyway, who are aircraftless).Karantu wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 2:46 amSo... I ended up buying more stuff and now I'm at the point where I could field 2000pts without any aircraft or titans.

Sounds good, I'll probably be bringing 2000pts of titan-less, aircraft-less Chaos Space Marines then. There doesn't seem to a decent Alpha Legion army list out there so I'm probably going to be running either Black Legion, Iron Warriors(most likely), or Red Corsairs. The Other Dave wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 3:22 amFor 2000 I wasn’t going to (and I thought I’d bring ‘nids anyway, who are aircraftless).

I don"t have any Underworlds to play but if you want to play Malifaux with keyword only I would be game. The Other Dave wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 11:05 pm
@Balloonacorn, if you want to try a game of Underworlds using one of the warbands you've picked up and just their faction cards, let me know.

Ah, I thought you'd said you got the Crimson Court a while back. I may bring my Malifaux box along, but TBH probably can't fit much more than a 45 minute game or so into the day without pushing out Epic / AT.Balloonacorn wrote: ↑Thu Dec 02, 2021 1:43 pmI don"t have any Underworlds to play but if you want to play Malifaux with keyword only I would be game. The Other Dave wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 11:05 pm

Leave your Malifaux at home and I will get a game with you in the new year.
