Re: August Games Day: 8/28 at e-able in Higashi Betsuin
I was wondering - would it be ok if my kids did some painting while we were at the game event? I dunno what the rules for the room are. I was just thinking to bring some paint and brushes (and water pot and palette etc) so's the kids would have an option for something else to do.

I'm just speculating, but as much as I'd like to say that'd be cool, it'd probably be a problem if paint got on the tables or carpet or something. I know one Japanese guy paints sometimes, but he uses those markers that I think are originally for Gundam models.

Let's plan our game for the afternoon then. That way we can be flexible getting games going as people come in through the morning.OZMS2Tallgeese wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 8:17 amNo I haven't played against Justin's new team. Played against the older tries though I so I am vaguely familiar. It's probably going to be my 1k sons as I couldn't finish painting in time. Anytime is fine for me.

Thanks for the great games and better company today folks!
Was particularly gratifying to see the Thousand Sons crushed on @MiJ's table; they were a bit harder to pin down on ours! Clearly the Redemptor Dreadnought was the smart choice.

Thank you for letting me observe and for all of the explanations today!
I definitely had a great time and it was so nice meeting you all in person.
Hopefully see you next month!

Was great getting some games in today. The rolls were… perplexing to say the least, on all sides of the table!

Huge thanks to everyone for your kindness today encouraging my kids, with especial thanks to Alan, Jye and Dave for their generosity and patience. Sean and Noah (and I) thoroughly enjoyed it, and they're now fired up and wanting to paint stuff for next time.
Thanks also to Jye (again) and Balloonacorn for the the Necrons and Collette. All of them are very much appreciated.
Hopefully see y'all again next time, and maybe we'll even bring some minis to play with, too!
