Nagoya December Games Day: 12/18 at e-able

Post by The Other Dave » Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:33 am

Hi folks! The December games day is at e-able Nagoya, on Sunday the 18th.

As usual for that venue, we'll have the room from 9am to 4pm, and it'll be 500 yen for the day if you play any games.

I'm planning on being there - at the moment I've got a game of Epic 30K scheduled with Kondo-san, although it'll depend a bit on whether he can get his army printed and painted on time. I'll also have Underworlds along, but if anybody is interested in a game of Epic or Titanicus that would be workable too!
Feel free to call me Dave!

I'll be around looking for Malifaux games, or looking to give a Malifaux demo if anyone is interested. I know some of the Malifaux crew have other plans that day, so if anyone needs a player for an board game or something, I'd probably be game for that too.

I will try and make it and in the spirit of the season I will dig out Santa Ork for some 40K....if the copy of the rules and codex i have are current.....What's the equivilent of a "Combat Patrol" these days? 25 pts?
I've also been keen on trying out Grimdark Future. https://onepagerules.com/portfolio/grimdark-future/
Might be less hassle than trying to re-learn all the ins and outs of ...9th ed? 10th?

25PL for a Combat Patrol! Or 500pts, but it's a bit more common for us to play with PL.

9th can go pretty deep but Orks can boil down to "start behind cover, declare Waaaaagh! on your turn, run forward and krump 'em" easily enough.

I'll chuck something board-gamey in my bag for the day!

I'd like to, but I'm currently in negotiations for an in-person all day DND session on the 17th, with my kids included. The odds of me snagging both days that weekend for gaming are...not good. Sorry 🙏

*Edit* spoke too soon! Maybe the 17th ain't happening, so maybe we can make the 18th a goer. I'll let folks know once I do.

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

I will be there.

I'm currently trying to clear some space in my hobby room, so I'm planning to bring along some stuff to sell. This won't leave a lot of space in my bag for game stuff.

So, does anyone have any games they want to demo or need an extra player for? Epic, Warcry, any boardgames folks are working on?
